FAFSA: Opening Doors for High School Seniors
Free Tuition, Resources for College & Career Training, and More!
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is one of the most important steps in preparing for life after high school. Whether you’re a student planning your next move, a family member supporting the journey, or an educator guiding the way, understanding the FAFSA is essential. In the latest episode of Inside Education!, GISD’s official podcast, the conversation explores the FAFSA, what it is, why it matters, and how students, families, and educators can navigate the process with confidence.
Completing the FAFSA opens doors to federal, state, and institutional aid, including grants, scholarships, loans, and work-study programs, making post-secondary goals financially possible. Families sometimes hesitate to begin the FAFSA, worrying it will be complicated. Fortunately, the FAFSA was recently simplified, making it more accessible than ever.
