AnnVahan A Service Design Initiative to Combat Malnutrition & Food Waste in India

The Stark Reality: Hunger & Malnutrition in India

Despite significant food production, India faces a severe challenge with hunger and malnutrition. Our project directly addresses the critical issues of widespread hunger, malnutrition, and the paradox of significant food waste

Food Waste In India

Partnering with food distribution NGO's

Our service design leverages the power of existing community-driven initiatives to amplify impact, focusing on strategic collaboration with organisations like the Robin Hood Army, a volunteer-based, zero-funds organisation that collects surplus food from restaurants and communities to serve less fortunate people

Food Collection Network: Utilizing the Robin Hood Army's established network for efficient collection of surplus food from various sources, preventing valuable food from going to waste.

Volunteer Mobilization: Harnessing their extensive volunteer base for hands-on support in food rescue and initial distribution efforts, fostering a strong community engagement model.

Local Reach: Benefiting from their grassroots presence and understanding of local needs, ensuring that food collection and early distribution are targeted and effective.
