Dear University Community,
This Thursday, October 17 we will lay to rest our President, Dr. Pablo Arenaz, who passed away unexpectedly Oct. 3, 2024.
We continue to grieve the loss of a cherished colleague and friend, leader and mentor, husband, father, and grandfather. His vision for this University, the communities we proudly serve, and his commitment to our students, faculty, and staff were limitless. His steady hand guided a shared vision that advanced this University and its mission measurably.
In his memory, we ask all members of the University community to wear maroon Thursday when funeral services will be held.
Please read on for additional offerings and programs this week at TAMIU.
