New - God’s Surprising Presence, July 17, 11 a.m. and 7 p.m., Assembly Hall (Center of Hope, Fourth Floor): Join us as Dr. Howell introduces Rev. Laura Heikes, our new Pastor of Missions & Community Engagement, and Rev. Nancy Dixon Walton, our new Pastor of Congregational Care. Together they will talk about ways God is surprisingly present in our lives and in the life of the world.

Chillin’ With Chimes, July 29, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.: Rising kindergarteners-2nd graders are invited to join Brian Childers for a morning of music. Learn how to ring and care for chimes, take a tour of our handbell room, and be introduced to all sorts of weird, wild, and wonderful bells! Click here to register.

Missions Summer Book Club: Join us in July as we read Finding God: Discovering the Divine in the Gritty and Unexpected by Rev. Laura Heikes, our new Pastor of Missions & Community Engagement. Children's Sunday School Registration Now Open: We are already preparing for the 2024-2025 Sunday School year, and we want you to do the same by registering your children for Sunday School! Classes are for children 2-years-old through rising 5th graders. Registration is open for the entire month of July. To guarantee placement in a class and be notified before Kick-Off Sunday on September 8, please register by July 31. Click here to register.

Baking Through the Bible: Families are invited to dig into God’s word while baking some yummy treats, too. Pick up your Baking Through the Bible kit outside the Children’s Ministries office while supplies last. Each week includes a family devotion, Bible memory verse, Bible story recipe, family craft, family activity, and a recipe of the week.

Join the Summer Choir: High school youth and adults of all ages are invited to sing with the Chancel Choir at the 11 a.m. worship service this summer. All you have to do is meet in the choir room at 10:15 a.m. to rehearse. Email Sue Bayne at sbayne@mpumc.org with any questions.

Collection for The Bulb: Thank you for your continued support of The Bulb's weekly food markets with your donations of empty, clean one-dozen egg containers and plastic and reusable shopping bags. We've been notified that The Bulb can no longer accept plastic egg containers, so please drop off only Styrofoam and cardboard egg cartons from now on. You can drop off items in the labeled drawers in the Parish Life Building lobby.
