Week of February 3-7, 2025
Principal Message
It is hard to believe that we are already heading into February! We are officially halfway through the school year!
We started our week with the Grades 3-6 hitting the slopes at Rabbit Hill! The weather was beautiful and it was a fun day had by all. A huge THANK YOU to all of our parent volunteers for their support with this day; it would not have been as smooth without your help!
Students brought home their January Summary Reports today. We hope you have some time this weekend to celebrate your child's learning.
February is going to be a very busy month! We have a lot of events happening throughout the school. Some to note: Winter Carnival, Black History Month, Open House, Winter Walk Day and Pink Shirt Day!
Lastly, to hear about all of these events and school happenings, we hope you can join us on Wednesday, February 19 @ 6:30 PM for our Parent Council Meeting!
Have a wonderful weekend,
Mrs. Carr-Jeschke & Mrs. McNamee
School Safety
The road in front of the school (96 Ave) becomes very busy at the beginning and end of the school day.
Please ensure that you are choosing safety over convenience with regards to parking, crossing (at crosswalks) and posted speed limits.
We want all of our students to arrive and leave safe and happy. Thank you for your support!

Embracing Diversity Survey
Please see message below from Superintendent Lynette Anderson regarding a survey that went home today:
Dear Parents and Guardians,
The Edmonton Catholic School Division (ECSD) is committed to providing all students, staff, and families with an inclusive, welcoming, caring, respectful, safe, and Catholic environment that promotes the well-being of all and fosters community support for achieving this goal.
In March 2022, ECSD developed an Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Anti-Racism(EDIAR) Strategic Plan in partnership with NorQuest College and MNP. It is now time for us to update the EDIAR Strategic Plan and we believe that it is important to hear your thoughts on the performance of your child’s school and the Division in this area. One of the ways we gather your feedback is through the ECSD Embracing Diversity Survey.
Please fill out the enclosed ECSD Embracing Diversity Survey and add your voice to our EDIAR Strategic Plan. You will receive multiple surveys if you have more than one child registered in Grades 4 to 12 in ECSD. Please respond to each survey separately from the point of view of that child’s school. The survey will take you afew minutes to complete. The results of the ECSD Embracing Diversity Survey will help us update our EDIAR Strategic Plan that will be publicly shared with our Board of Trustees this spring.
Please return your completed survey in the enclosed business reply envelope by Friday, February 14, 2025 to your child’s school, or drop the envelope into any Canada Post mailbox.
Thank you in advance for completing the survey and adding your voice to our EDIAR Strategic Plan. If you have any questions, please contact the Principal of your child’s school.
Sincerely,
Lynnette Anderson
