Dear Cougar Students and Parents,

Thank you to all of our families that made it to our Open House/Conference event this week. Teachers reported that they had valuable conversations and enjoyed connecting with you. If you were not able to join us, please contact teachers/counselors directly for an opportunity to talk through your student's progress.
Last week's football victories, in ALL 3 levels, keep us ranked at #1 in 5A in the state and takes our football program to 24-0 with one regular season game left tonight. This record is traditionally unheard of! A big shout out to our coaching staff, our student athletes and all of the parents and volunteers who have worked so hard to get our teams to this point. Join us in the stands tonight to clutch the final WIN from Bend High.
Our administrative team is continuing our work to improve Student Attendance. This week, we began to promote our Under 100 Initiative. The Goal: decrease student body tardies to under 100 in a single day to earn an extra 10 minutes during a single lunchtime. Learning to arrive ON TIME is an essential life skill. Parents can partner with us in this effort by talking with your student about tools and strategies you use to be on time.
Finally, next week is Halloween! We love seeing students having fun and in costume. Costumes are welcome, but must follow all school dress code guidelines and avoid cultural appropriation or offensive caricatures or stereotypes.
- no masks or items that make a face unidentifiable
- no weapons

Do you know our SRO (School Resource Officer)?
We’ll let her introduce herself. 📢 “Officer Cashman-Caceres can be a lot to say, so feel free to call me Officer C-C, Officer Cash, or even just Keely. “Here are some fun facts about me:
- ✔️ I have worked in law enforcement for over 9 years
- ✔️ I have performed CPR over 30 times (on actual people experiencing a medical crisis)
- ✔️ I know how to change a flat tire on a car, but I don’t know how to change a flat tire on a bicycle
- ✔️ I enjoy hiking, but only for the social media clout. Is there any other reason?
Office Cash's office is located at Mountain View High School, but she also covers Sky View, Pilot Butte, Ensworth, Lava Ridge, and Ponderosa. We are so thankful to
