What's On? Week 4 | Term 3 - 2025 | 11 August 2025 | Mullumbimby High School Newsletter

Message from our Principal

National Science Week

Welcome to National Science Week. At Mullumbimby High School, we have a lot of very curious students deeply engaged within the Science subjects across all stages of learning. From Agriculture to Physics, our students are achieving great results.

Were you aware that last year, all 4 of our Science Extension students in the HSC achieved publication of their work in the prestigious Journal of Science Extension Research? I do hope you get the opportunity to “Decode the Universe" this week in celebration.

School Uniform

Full school uniform is a requirement for all students

  • Black pants, shorts or skirt
  • Blue school polo OR White school shirt/polo. Sports Jerseys from external school teams (eg Mullum Giants) are not uniform.
  • Black jumper (with no large or inappropriate logos)
  • Enclosed shoes (absolutely no Ugg boots, slides, crocs or slippers). If students have inappropriate footwear, they may be excluded from class due to safety until a parent/carer can deliver appropriate footwear to the school.

If students arrive to school in incorrect uniform, they should go to the front office in the morning for a uniform exchange. If students have a legitimate reason for being out of uniform, they should provide a note from parents/carers at the start of the day. If no uniform exchange items are available, students will receive a blue 'uniform slip' which they must keep with them throughout the day.

If sent to the Uniform Exchange during CARE, students need to make their way quickly and directly there. Failure to go to the Uniform Exchange, or refusal to change, will result in a lunch detention. If there are repeated incidents of this, students may receive a Formal Caution of Suspension or further disciplinary action.

Our uniform has intentionally been designed to be easy for everyone to comply with. Please make sure you are supporting your student in doing the right thing and come to school each and every day in correct uniform.
