2024 RECAP
The University of Scranton captured its second Landmark Conference Women’s Lacrosse title, securing the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament with a 12-5 victory over Catholic University. Grace Lane earned Tournament Most Valuable Player honors after an impressive postseason performance, tallying seven goals, four assists, three ground balls, and four caused turnovers across two games.
Despite falling short in the championship, Catholic received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament—marking the first time since 2014, and only the fourth time in conference history, that two Landmark teams advanced to the national tournament.
In the NCAA Tournament, Scranton bowed out in the Second Round against Denison, while Catholic was eliminated by Christopher Newport.
PRESEASON POLL
The University of Scranton enters the 2025 season as the favorite to defend its Landmark Conference title, topping the preseason poll with 80 points and eight first-place votes. The Royals, coming off back-to-back championships and an NCAA Tournament victory, return a strong core and are poised for another deep run.
Catholic University sits at No. 2 with 74 points and two first-place votes, looking to reclaim the top spot after another NCAA Tournament appearance last season. Susquehanna University rounds out the top three with 63 points after hosting a playoff game for the first time since 2016 and earning Coaching Staff of the Year honors.
Moravian University (56 points) and Juniata College (52 points) follow closely behind, both aiming to build on postseason appearances in 2024. Drew University (41 points) sits at No. 6, while Elizabethtown College (31 points), Lycoming College (26 points), Goucher College (18 points), and Wilkes University (9 points) complete the rankings.
CATHOLIC UNIVERSITY

Catholic University aims to build on a strong 2024 season after finishing 13-8 overall and 8-1 in Landmark play, earning an at-large NCAA Tournament bid. The Cardinals return a deep, talented roster, keeping them firmly in title contention.
The attack remains a strength, led by Mia Perkell, Izzy Fiore, Maggie Traynor, Charlotte Spaulding, and Lindsay Sawyer. Jessie Lee and Tori Wilsey bolster the midfield, while Lauren Bendo and Clare Martin anchor a defense adjusting to key departures.
Catholic must replace several impact players, including two-time Defensive Player of the Year Rachel Rubenstein, midfielder Riley Martin, attacker Mattea Del Peschio, and goalkeeper Lauren Davidson.
DREW UNIVERSITY

Drew University looks to build on a 10-8 record and conference postseason appearance under new head coach Stefani Peluso.
The Rangers face key departures, including two-time First Team All-Conference attacker Lizzy Barrett, Second Team midfielder Mary Kate Davidson, and Honorable Mention selection Ella Champigny. Additional losses on both ends of the field leave gaps to fill.
Despite this, Drew returns a strong core. Attacker Grace Patane and midfielders Aubrey Welch and Emma Gallaro lead the offense, with Madi Strong adding another scoring threat. Brooke Carlisle and Emily Monaco provide midfield versatility, while experienced goalkeeper Paige Shaw anchors the defense.
ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE

- 2024 Record: 6-10 (3-6 Landmark)
- 2025 Projected Finish: 7th
Elizabethtown College enters 2025 looking to take the next step after a 6-10 overall record and a 3-6 mark in Landmark Conference play last season.
The Blue Jays return a solid core, led by standout midfielder Drew Bridges. The attack unit of Megan Gress, Madison Hennelly, Abby Bach, and Megan Meyer brings offensive firepower, while defenders Maeve Keeney and Jenna Wilson provide leadership on the back line.
Etown will have to adjust to the loss of two key contributors—Honorable Mention All-Conference midfielder Sam Deiaco and goalkeeper Alayna Trynosky
GOUCHER COLLEGE

- 2024 Record: 3-14 (1-8 Landmark)
- 2025 Projected Finish: 9th
Goucher looks to take a step forward in 2025 after a challenging 3-14 season (1-8 Landmark). Emily Burk leads the attack, while Molly Smith provides stability in the midfield.
In goal, Honorable Mention All-Landmark selection Sydney Lewis anchors the defense. The Gophers must replace key contributors Katherine Luetgens and Lucy Covington.
JUNIATA COLLEGE

- 2024 Record: 15-5 (6-3 Landmark)
- 2025 Projected Finish: 5th
Juniata made history in 2024, earning its first Landmark postseason berth and defeating Drew in the opening round.
The Eagles (15-5, 6-3 Landmark) return First Team All-Conference standouts Peyton Goodrich and Maeve Kuser, along with two-way contributor Kelliann Drummond.
They’ll look to fill the void left by three-time First Team selection Grace Gibbs and midfielder Laura Dietrich.
LYCOMING COLLEGE

- 2024 Record: 6-10 (2-7 Landmark)
- 2025 Projected Finish: 8th
Lycoming enters a new era under head coach Meaghan Smith, aiming to improve on last year’s 6-10 (2-7 Landmark) record.
The Warriors return Second Team All-Conference attacker Riley Block, while Alexa Baldwin and Kailey Stocker add offensive firepower. Katie Maguire and Alyssa Zorbaugh bring experience to the midfield, while Autumn Shahan and Sarah Spring anchor the defense in front of a new goalkeeper.
Key departures include top scorer Alex Horafus, midfielders Rylie Cranmer and Jess Shaver, and Honorable Mention All-Conference goalkeeper Zoe Stauffer.
MORAVIAN UNIVERSITY

- 2024 Record: 8-10 (5-4 Landmark)
- 2025 Projected Finish: 4th
Moravian, a postseason fixture, looks to build on last year’s 8-10 (5-4 Landmark) finish. The Greyhounds return plenty of firepower, led by Jackie Salvatore, the 2024 Landmark Offensive Player of the Year and a First Team All-Conference attacker.
The midfield is anchored by First Team selection Madi Dippel and Second Team honoree Alex Cherenson, while Reagan Reiner, Victoria Salica, Bailey Leatherman, and Isabella Ziccardi add depth.
Defensively, Second Team All-Conference selection Keara Reilly and Leah Hoskin provide stability, with Kayla Graeff returning in goal.
UNIVERSITY OF SCRANTON

Scranton enters 2025 as the reigning Landmark champion after a 17-4 (8-1 Landmark) season and its first NCAA Tournament win since 2004.
Two-time First Team All-Conference attacker Grace Lane headlines a deep lineup, alongside Second Team selections Erin Reich, Eileen Hewitt (also Rookie of the Year), Devyn Tanajewski, and goalkeeper Lauren Boldis.
The Royals must replace two-time All-Conference defender Grace DaBulas and Nicolina Mauro.
SUSQUEHANNA UNIVERSITY

- 2025 Projected Finish: 3rd
Susquehanna (13-6, 6-3 Landmark) earned Coaching Staff of the Year honors and hosted a playoff game for the first time since 2016.
Senior attackers Liv Owen and Abby Andrus lead the offense, while Emma Kelleher and Allie Kutler anchor the midfield.
A young defense is led by returners Lizzy Povalski, Rachel Barattucci, Chloe Pappalardo, and Elizabeth Kelly. First Team All-Landmark goalie Aerin O'Brien returns after a standout season.
WILKES UNIVERSITY

- 2024 Record: 2-15 (0-9 Landmark)
- 2025 Projected Finish: 10th
Wilkes begins a new chapter under head coach Maegan Laymon, looking to improve on a 2-15 (0-9 Landmark) record.
Sam Mullen and Brooklyn Pedana lead the attack, but the Colonels must replace key departures, including Ava Ward (M), Maleah Cobham (A), Breanne Fulling (M/A), and goalkeeper Samantha Scott.
