Activity 1 - Creative Cards
We created our own version of a playing card using Adobe Express. Gen Ai was used to create themes and symbols where appropriate. I thought the time limit was an excellent idea. Forces the creator to not over think the process and consider quickly how to edit another piece, given the opportunity, in the carousel style changeover.
Activity 2 - Creative Games
This was a collaboration task where we had to invite our partner to share the document. We were separated into two rooms where communication was only through messenger function. This was tricky to begin with and I toggled my partners cursor on and off as I found it was a distraction when it was constantly moving around the screen. I only toggled it on if I wanted to check where they were or what they were working on so I wasn't working on the same element. I could see how this feature may distract children in my class so it was useful to see that it could be toggled on and off. Nuala and I chose a Victorian theme as it was a shared topic. We could both see how this would work for us in our own classroom.
