EXPLORE PROJECT
For this project, I got to capture and edit 5 personal images to be able to explore the functions and capabilities of my camera. I got to explore my ability to take pictures and use a variety of editing software. Pictured below are my final 5 images, the largest being my personal favorite. It is my favorite because you can really see the details of the blue in the eye.
GTK PROJECT
For this project, I got to learn more about my camera and multiple editing software, including Photoshop. We had to capture multiple images with different prompts so we could learn about different modes on our cameras. I learned how to adjust my camera to the thing I am taking a picture of, and how to use Photoshop to make my pictures better. Below is my collage and my favorite single shot. The single shot is my favorite because you can really see the texture in the hair and you can see all of the different colors included in the picture.
GEN AI Project
For this project, we got to use Photoshop to explore all the possibilities of AI. We had to use some type of AI on 5 pictures. The first one, we all had the same picture, but had to turn it into something different. On another, we made it from scratch using specifically just AI. For the rest, they were all pictures that we took by ourselves, and we could edit them using AI. I got to learn how to use AI to make my pictures better or turn them into something completely different! My favorite is the picture of the red flowers because of the camera. I really like how you can see the small flower in the lens, but then there are hundreds of them in the background.
WIP Project
For this project, we were supposed to take pictures of natural or created letters to create a word. For my two words, I did my first name, "Lynley" and my last name, "Norton". I made sure to find letters in random things but if I could not find them, I created letters out of tinsel, rocks, seashells, and more. I think that the word, "Norton" is my favorite because for letters like the "o", I was able to use a camera lens which come back to the digital photography class.
TOP 20 COLLAGE
For this project we had to pick 20 of our favorite personal images to put on a collage. I created my collage on photoshop and I really tried to pick the images that I liked the most.
PICTO PROJECT
The main idea of this project was to learn about pictorialism and using subjects and filters. For the first picture, we had to use certain filters to make our original photo look like a drawing. For our second image, we had to have at least 5 different subjects that had different filters and looked different. Lastly we had to create a collage constructed of 1 image. We had to choose many different filters on that same image to create the collage. I used mostly Photoshop to create my photos and collages. My favorite image is the pictorialist image because it looks so realistic. I really like the filter I chose because it looks exactly like a oil painting.
EAPD PROJECT
In this project, we had to learn about the 7 elements of art and create mini collages for each element. After we had done that, we had to create one big final collage of all the mini elements of art collages. For this project, I used Pixlr and Photoshop to edit and create my images. I loved getting to learn about each element, and I really had to use a lot of creativity when I created my images. Below is my final collage, along with my favorite single shots from each collage. My favorite single picture is the element of space. I love how it looks like the buses are closing in on the person, and I love the colors shown throughout the picture.
Composition Techniques Project
For this project, we where expected to take ten techniques and take pictures according to their definition. At the end of the project, we had to take all of our pictures and create 5 images using all pictures in that image. For this project I used mostly photoshop and pixlr to create and edit my images. Out of all my images, my favorite one is the layered image with the girl in the middle and textures picture on top of her. That is my favorite because it looks like the girl is in a picture frame surrounded by trees.
Tutorial Project
For this project, we had to find five Photoshop effect tutorials using Google. We had to use those tutorials and create two images that followed them. This project allowed me to use all of my skills that I have gathered over the past few months. I used Photoshop and Pixlr to create my images. My favorite image is the one that looks like a computer glitch. I love this picture because it looks so cool with the glitch effect.
