Council Meeting

The next City Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. in the Civic Center Council Chambers located at 5938 Kauffman Avenue. Members of the public can attend the meeting in person or watch the livestream of the meeting online by CLICKING HERE and on Youtube at ConnectwithTC.

Youth Committee

Movies in the Park

Bring the whole family along with your picnic blankets and join us for the Movies in the Park series on Friday evenings at Temple City Park located at 9701 Las Tunas Drive. This free movies series is open to all and occurs most Friday evenings in September. We have a number of exciting pre-movie festivities that begin 45 minutes before the movie start time! Hi Autumn Festival

The Hi Autumn Festival, co-hosted by Temple City and World Journal LA, is an event that combines the traditional Mid-Autumn festival with entertainment and gourmet foods, creating a one-of-a-kind experience. The event is on Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 12:00 pm – 10:00 pm and Sunday, September 21, 2025 from 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm. The festivities take place at Temple City Park, located at 5939 Golden West Ave., Temple City, CA 91780.

Fall Festival and Classic Car Show

Join us on Saturday, September 27 from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm for the annual Fall Festival and Classic Car Show! There is something for everyone at this family friendly event located at Temple City Park at 9701 Las Tunas Drive. Festival-goers will delight in live entertainment by Temple City schools, eye-catching classic cars, craft booths, food trucks, and much, much more! Rev your engines and make sure to take in all the classic cars on Golden West Ave. and cast your vote for your favorite!

Leadership, Education and Development (LEAD) Program

The Temple City LEAD Program is recruiting new members for the 2025-26 school year. Join today and discover new opportunities for students to earn volunteer hours, develop leadership skills, and learn about educational and future career opportunities. The LEAD program facilitates opportunities for middle school and high school students ages 12–17 years old to earn volunteer service-learning hours, develop confidence in leadership skills through a mentorship program, and learn about educational and future career opportunities. In addition to accruing community service hours needed for school, participants will develop a variety of leadership skills aimed at creating positive impacts in the Temple City community.

Sports Blitz

Sports time = a fun time! Explore an exciting variety of sports in this engaging program led by Recreation staff. This 8-week program, held on Mondays & Wednesdays from September 8 to October 29, is designed for children ages 3.5 - 5 and 6–7. Participants will explore the fundamentals of basketball, soccer, and flag football, while building skills and learning the values of teamwork and sportsmanship.

Final Day to Apply: Free Awnings & Blade Signs for Downtown Businesses

The City of Temple City is offering a limited-time grant to help downtown businesses improve their storefronts—at no cost to the business owner. If your business is located along Las Tunas Drive or Temple City Boulevard, you may be eligible to receive a free awning and/or blade sign. These improvements can enhance visibility, attract new customers, and contribute to the ongoing revitalization of Downtown Temple City.

Program Benefits:

  • Free installation of an awning and/or blade sign
  • Enhanced business visibility and curb appeal
  • Contractor hired by the City, no coordination needed
  • All City permit and inspection fees waived
  • Simple, 5-minute application process
