AASA Spring Testing

Spring testing begins on Monday, March 31st. All students in grades 3 - 6 will be participating in the Spring 2025 administration of the Arizona Academic Standards Assessment (AASA) in reading, writing, and mathematics. The AASA is a statewide achievement test that helps assess student progress and the effectiveness of educational programs.

How to help your child prepare:

Ensure your child gets a good night's rest and eats a healthy breakfast.

Encourage your child to take their time and do their best.

Reassure your child that you believe in their abilities.

Avoid checking your child out early from school.

Make sure your child arrives at school on time.

If you have appointments, please communicate with your child’s teacher. Students have the ability to make up tests at a later date. Communication is key.

Health Updates

As we are currently in the midst of respiratory illness season, we kindly ask all parents to monitor their children for signs of illness. If your child is not feeling well, please keep them at home to help prevent the spread of illness. Common symptoms to watch for include: cough, runny nose, fever, and sore throat. In addition, please remind your child of the importance of frequent hand washing to help reduce the spread of germs.

We also want to remind parents to be vigilant about lice. Lice can be active year-round, so we encourage you to make checking for lice a regular part of your routine. For more information on how to treat lice, please refer to this link.

Thank you for your continued efforts in helping to keep our school community safe and healthy.

Arizona's Tax Credit Program

Receive a tax credit for up to $400 when filing your Arizona State Income Tax return and support your local schools with this dollar-for-dollar tax credit. Contributions are donated directly to schools and help fund meaningful programs. A tax credit is different from a tax deduction because it is an actual credit against the income tax imposed upon an individual. Click the link below for the form and directions on how to contribute.
