The 2024 edition of my best of a bad lot gallery. These photographs were taken during my day job and during my other wanderings. No doubt that 2025 will be an interesting year as well.

Assisted by Halifax regional fire, conservation officers and lands and forests workers provide a softer landing for a falling black bear, that was tranquilized in a tree in the Dartmouth Commons September 19, 2024. Police were called around 1130, after a bear was seen on Tulip Street and later found in the tree. The bear was stabiized and assessed and carried away for relocation.

An Air Canada Express Flight 2259 operated by Pal Airlines, is seen on a runway Halifax Stanfiield Airport December 28, 2024. The aircraft experienced what airport officials described as an "incident upon arrival" with its landing gear, from St. John’s, NL. Passengers and crew evacuated and were transported from the airfield and all escaped any serious injury. Flight operations at Halifax Stanfield were temporarily suspended on that runway as officials investigated the incident.
