School updates
Eco Action Days
We had a great two days of Eco themed work last week, organised by Mrs Jones and our Eco Committee. Activities, both inside and outside of the school, were all related to our Eco Action Plan and our identified Global Goals. The pupils then shared their learning at our end of week Assembly, demonstrating the wealth of knowledge they gained over the two days.
GLEE Choir
Well done to our fabulous GLEE Choir who took part in the GLEE competition at Hamilton Townhouse. They did a great job and narrowly missed out on winning the competition. A huge thank you to Mrs Jones and the pupils for doing such a great job and representing our school so well.
Snapshot Jotter Week
Our Snapshot jotter week took place on the week beginning 10th February. The jotters will come home on this week. Please have a look at the work your child has done and write a comment in the jotter. All jotters should be returned by Monday 10th March. Thank you.

Drop Off and Pick Up Arrangements
A polite reminder for all motorists who drop off and pick up outside our school. Please be considerate to our neighbours and not block driveways and house access. Also ensure that speed is kept down for the safety of our pupils and those who live around the school. We encourage our families to 'Park and Stride' this involves parking at the Lifestyles Car Park and walking the rest of the way to school. New rules have been introduced by SLC about parking on pavements, these rules will be enforced by Parking Attendants in the coming weeks and months. I have attached some posters for your information.
STEM WEEK
Week beginning 10th March will be our STEM week. The week will be packed with activities relating to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. This annual event is very popular with the pupils and staff alike and we are looking forward to the activities planned. Thanks to Mrs McCafferty for organising this week and supporting the staff throughout the week when it comes.
Ready Steady Learn Booklets
A reminder to all our parents/carers to sign the Ready Steady Learns when they come home from school. It is really important that we know you have had a look at the comments written by the staff and the pupils. This is our main method of communication between class and home.

We will also be sharing our Rights Respecting Schools work and how we have embedded this into our school ethos and culture.
We have submitted our evidence for Pledge 2 & 3 of the Attachment Informed, Trauma-Sensitive Accreditation. Thanks to Mrs Johnston, Mrs Irvine, Mrs McCafferty and our Attachment Leadership groups for all their hard work with this.
Our support staff have started creating our Transition resources for our new Primary 1 pupils who will be joining us in August 2025 now that the enrolment process is underway.
All staff took part in a Wellbeing Workshop led by SAMH on the February INSET Day. This was an excellent opportunity for our staff to take some time to discuss their Wellbeing and share thoughts and advice with colleagues.
