2026 Pacific Lutheran University Digital Game Program

Setting the Scene: After playing the opening eight games of the season on the road, the Pacific Lutheran University baseball team gets to finally enjoy the comforts of home, welcoming Northwest Conference rival George Fox University to PLU Field for a three-game series.

Series History: The Lutes and Bruins have battled 103 times on the diamond since the series began in 1996 with George Fox holding a 54-49 advantage in the all-time series. The two squads met three times last spring with the host Bruins winning the series two games to one. Success eluded the Lutes the rest of the weekend with the host River Otters scoring three runs in the seventh inning to escape with a 7-6 victory before taking Sunday's rubber match 11-7 after exploding for seven runs in the seventh inning. Sunday's finale saw Carson Burke have a big day at the plate, finishing two-for-four with three RBIs and two runs scored.

Despite dropping two of three against the River Otters, the Lutes actually won the overall season series thanks to a pair of non-conference wins on Feb. 21 with PLU pummeling the hosts 18-5 and 7-4.

GFU almost secured a weekend sweep, owning a 7-1 lead in game three before Whitman battled back, scoring seven runs over the final three innings including a walkoff single for the win in the ninth.
