This piece is of a little pond with a lighthouse sitting on the edge of it. Well shooting this photo, I was still new to photography and getting the hang of it. My goal was to take a simple easy photo so I could learn more about how to take a good photo. I feel like this photo is pretty good for just starting out and at the time I was happy with how it turned out. I hope you like the photo too.
This piece is full of nature with a little red car and a cabin that was taken in South Dakota. With this photo I learned how you can easily mess up a photo within photoshop. My goal with this piece was to capture the nice landscape in front of me and learn how to use my camera. I feel this photo could have been better, the editing looks a little funny but overall, I think it’s an okay photo for learning how to use a camera. I hope looking at this piece brings you to the forest and gives you a small-town feel.
This is a photograph of a dartboard with a dart in the middle. With this photo taking it was a struggle, I was still learning how to use my camera and the lighting was hard to get right but I learned how to mess with the setting and get the lighting right. My goal with this photo was to make the red lines pop and showcase the dart in the middle. I feel this photo is interesting to look at and at the time of taking I was very proud being able to take that good of a photo. I hope with photo looks pleasing.
This piece is of white roses that pop due to the dark background. With this photo I learned how to mess with the settings within my camera and get as close as I could to what I wanted and then make it happen within Photoshop. With this photo I achieved my goal and made the roses pop so the texture of them could be shown. I feel this photograph turned out pretty good, the roses were kept white, and I didn’t accidentally change the color with Photoshop edits. I hope when you look at this photo it brings you a feel of a fancy place and you see the beauty of the flowers.
This piece is of the table shuffleboard game. With this photo I learned how changing your perspective or angle you're taking a photo can make something cool. The goal of this photo was to showcase the texture of the gains of sand on the table. I think this photo turned out good, I like how everything I wanted was in focus and how there's nothing really distracting in the photo. When you look at this photo, I hope you like it as much as I do!
This photo is of a plant I found and thought it would make a cool texture. Well, dealing with this photo I learned how sometimes a photo can almost be too plain and kind of boring. My goal was to capture the texture of the plant. I feel this photo is a little boring and not interesting. I hope looking at this photo you can see the texture of it and how pretty the plant is.
This black and white photo features the refraction of the girl's mouth through a glass. With this project I learned how to make a photo black and white and how to photograph a person. My goal for this photo was to make a good black and white photo and capture the refraction of the girl's mouth. I feel this photo was a fun project to do and was a good chance to work with a person for the subject. I hope when you look at this photo it’s interesting to see the refraction in it.
This photo is a duotone and features the refraction of a seashell. With this photo I learned how to make a duotone photo. My goal was to make the refraction of the seashells interesting and intriguing. I feel this photo turned out good though I wish I could have changed some things like how you can see what the seashells are probed up on. I hope this photo is interesting for you to look at.
This photo is of the reflection of a pool and features an umbrella. With this photo I learned how to make a hand-colored photo and let me tell you it’s not easy. Honestly my goal and expectations for this photo were not the highest but I did make a head-colored photo. That’s what counts, right? I feel this photo could have been better with how I added color. I hope when you look at this photo, you see the beauty of the landscape and the little details.
This surreal photo is of a book in the sky. Well, making this I learned how to use layer masks in Photoshop to add photos together. My goal for this photo was to have a floating book with stairs leading to it and a door leading into the book and seamlessly add the photos together to make it look real. I feel this photo is good, but I wish I could have found different stairs to put in the piece. I hope when you look at this piece you get transported to a place in this world we can only dream of.
This is a photo of the reflection of a candle. One thing I learned from taking this photo is how to really work with what you have and your camera setting to make things happen. My goal was to take a beautiful photo, which I did with my great photography skills and a little help from Photoshop. I feel this photo is one of my better ones and I absolutely love how it turned out. I hope well looking at this piece you feel as I do about it!
This is a collage of oil and water photos. Well, making the collage the one thing I learned that I won't be forgetting anytime soon is how hard it was to take these photos, but I figured it out in the end. There were multiple failed attempts with me being covered in oil and water. I feel this turned out okay other than the spilling and it was pretty fun to make. I hope well looking at this you can see how even though maybe things don’t mix they can still make something wonderful.
This is a collage of oil and water photos I turned black and white. One I learned well from taking previous oil and water photos is to get help taking theses, so I got essence and it was much easier. The goal was to make interesting photos and I feeI I accomplished this. This collage was very fun to put together and the photos were also fun to edit. I hope this collage is interesting to you!
This triptych is of the texture of ripples in a pool. With these photos I learned how difficult it is to work with a pool, I had to change what I was going to do midway through taking them. My goal was to make the pool look interesting and to capture the texture of the ripples in the pool. I feel this triptych was fun to do and was a good chance to learn how to make a triptych. I hope this triptych is pleasing to the eyes and how you can see the photos pop.
