Who are we?

We work in conjunction with NHS England's Widening Access & Participation initiative to support young people aged 16-30 from diverse backgrounds into careers in Health & Social care, and supporting industries including health facilities management, health logistics, health related retail and more.

We can offer flexible support to meet the needs of your organisation
Here are examples of our core programme model, however, we can adapt and tailor the programme according to your needs:
- A short King's Trust programme with your live vacancies – We recruit young people for a typically 2-3 day programme, explaining the roles on offer, myth busting, support with CV writing and interview prep, and job interviews at the end of the programme.
- A longer programme that includes work experience element and access to your live vacancies – We recruit young people for a programme co-designed with your organisation, that will give young people a broad introduction to the roles available and what to expect from a career in the sector, training, work placement and access to jobs. Placements are often used as working interviews for job roles with the employer.
- Wrap around support at a recruitment event – We can attend an event arranged by your organisation or co-arranged with our team, including support with recruiting candidates. We provide attendees with on-the-day help with CV writing, interview prep, etc.
- A completely tailored programme with elements of the above.
Secondment
A secondment involves working more closely with recruitment teams in the Social Care and NHS across Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire to support young people into employment opportunities in all of the different roles that are available. This is done through running King’s Trust programmes to support young people with their job searching, applications, interview preparation, and pre-employment checks.
Hear from a Young Person who worked with the Secondee
“They were so supportive during the recruitment process and was always there to answer any questions I had when didn’t necessarily feel informed elsewhere”
“I had been trying to get into the NHS previously but after her tutoring, I went on to have multiple offers within the NHS and I couldn’t have done it without her.”
“They were absolutely amazing with me, she helped me with any information I needed help with, she was so kind and did everything she could to help me get the job .”
“Having them there at the group interview made me feel less anxious as I had someone there that I already knew, and if there was a silly question I had, I felt comfortable speaking to you about it.”
