Eagle of the Week!

The Eagle of the Week is one student selected every week and nominated by a teacher for acts that go above and beyond for the MSE Community. This week's "Eagle of the Week" is 8th grader Brylee B. who was nominated by Mr. Casier who said "On any given day one can observe Brylee putting the needs of her fellow classmates before her own. Brylee is always willing to participate in class and she will be the first to help out a fellow classmate who may be struggling. Not only does Brylee help out in the classroom she also helps clean up the lunch room every day. Brylee conducts herself with a maturity not of an 8th grader but that of someone much older. Brylee is the new standard to which all Middle School – East students should strive to become." Congrats Brylee!

Positive Office Referral Student

Congrats to our Positive Office Referral, "Be the Change" student of the week Elijah W!! Thanks for displaying positive behavior and being recognized by your teachers! Keep up the good work!

14 Days of Christmas!

As we head into Holiday Break, we want to have some fun and students are welcome to participate in the 14 Days of Christmas by following the calendar below! There will be daily raffles for students who participate, so let's have some fun as we finish off our learning before break!

School Attendance

Every day of school is an important opportunity for students to learn as well as to connect to their peers and teachers. We need to reinforce that students learn best when they are IN school. While we understand the importance of keeping sick students home, we also ask that your student attend school every day that they possibly can. They need the social connection, the academic support, and the opportunity to learn and grow. Research clearly shows that academic progress slips once attendance becomes a problem. We are mandated by state law to file truancy on students who have more than 90 hours out of the classroom. So please remember we want your children here! If you are struggling with getting your child to school, or need resources to improve your child's attendance and academic success, please contact your child's counselor or Assistant Principal Mr. MacIntosh

MSE School Store

The holidays are right around the corner, and what better way to celebrate all things MSE than by buying your student some spirit wear! We have a fully stocked School Store with hoodies, t-shirts, crewnecks, sweatpants, and more all able to be purchased for your student or yourself! You can contact Mrs. Malaga at malagsh@lc-ps.org or call the main office at (586) 493-5200 to get in to shop the school store!!
