Orcutt Academy Spartan Newsletter February 9, 2024

HELLO SPARTAN FAMILIES!

We are less than four months away from the Orcutt Academy High School 2024 graduation ceremony and are busy trying to organize plans for graduation already. It will be held on Wednesday, June 5 so be sure to mark your calendar (especially for families that have a graduating senior). There will be more information coming out in the next couple of months but it is good to at least have the date ready to start making plans.

This past week we had the Orcutt Academy Enrollment Lottery for students trying to get into the school for the 2024-2025 school year. As usual, we are going to be full and even have some students on a waitlist to get into the school. It is a good reminder that we are doing some great things for our students and families here at the school and that there are many students that want to be a Spartan. Thank you for raising such amazing young adults and for allowing us to be a part of their journey.

SPARTANS IN THE NEWS: ORCUTT ACADEMY STUDENTS HELP ORGANIZE PARKINSON'S FUNDRAISER

Volunteers turned out in force Saturday for a Parkinson's fundraiser event at Albertsons in Orcutt. Orcutt Academy girls soccer team standout Sydney Madison spearheaded the event, and fellow OA students helped Madison organize the fundraiser. Madison's grandfather, Fidel Adamos, has Parkinson's. "That inspired me to get involved," and become a Parkinson's Champion, Madison said.
