What is Mixed Medium?
Mixed Medium is a creative cafe studio that provides a space for all artist of different mediums. The venue will advocate the importance of creative expression in marginalized communites. The cafe studio will cater to painting, writing, drawing, digital art, poetry, musical events and any other forms of artistic expression. Studies have shown there is a lack of constructive, positive, and safe places in marginalized, black/brown communities. Overall, this effects the youth in those communities which leads to negative outcomes (i.e. crime, lack of inspiration, poor judgments). These issues contribute to character development or lack thereof individuals in those communities.
