Lodge Park Academy Newsletter – Summer Term 2, Week 5
Dear Families,
As we near the end of a vibrant and action-packed half term, this week has truly showcased the spirit, strength, and community of Lodge Park Academy.
A standout highlight was our incredible Sports Day held under the blazing sunshine at Rockingham Triangle. The energy was electric as students displayed outstanding Ambition, Resilience, Courage, and Aspiration—the core values that define us as a school. Each house gave their all, competing with pride and determination to bring glory to their teams. The conduct of our students throughout the event was exemplary, and their enthusiasm and sportsmanship made the day a memorable celebration of community and achievement.
Our Year 12 students have been actively involved in Work Experience this week, gaining valuable insight into the world beyond the classroom. Whether out in the local community or taking part in virtual placements, these opportunities are crucial steps in preparing them for the demands and expectations of working life.
This week also saw Mr Elhasboui deliver thoughtful and compassionate assemblies on body image across year groups—tackling a sensitive subject with care and encouraging students to reflect on self-worth and confidence.
We were also pleased to welcome families to our SEND coffee morning for the new Year 7 intake, offering support and connection as we prepare for their transition to Lodge Park Academy.
Our students have continued to shine beyond the academy too—taking part in the David Ross Education Trust Summer Cup Sports event, and on Friday, two of our talented musicians represented us at the DRET Musician of the Year event held at Nottingham Trent University.
It’s been a week full of pride, participation, and purpose—well done to all involved!
Warm regards,
Lodge Park Academy Leadership Team

Join Our Seneca Learning Community – Support Your Child’s Learning at Home
We are delighted to invite all parents and carers to join the Lodge Park Academy Seneca Learning Community at www.senecalearning.com. This is a powerful tool that allows you to support your child in completing additional learning outside the classroom – helping to reinforce key concepts and prepare for assessments.
If you have not yet accessed your child’s Seneca account, you will have received a new invitation from us to join. We kindly ask for your support in accepting this invitation and becoming part of our growing community.
Why is this important?
With over 450 parents and students already actively engaged, and more than 110,000 hours of student learning recorded across this academic year, Seneca has proven to be an incredibly successful platform – especially in Science, Geography, and History. As we prepare for the 2025/26 academic year, we are aiming to develop this further, building on the momentum and positive outcomes we’ve seen so far.
How can you help?
Please ensure your child can access their Seneca account at senecalearning.com. If they have trouble logging in using their school email address, they can easily reset their password by selecting ‘forgotten password’ on the login page.
By joining our Seneca Learning Community, you will not only receive insights into your child’s progress but also gain the ability to support their independent learning more effectively.
We appreciate your continued support and will keep you updated with further developments as we approach the end of the academic year.
Together, let’s continue to build a culture of independent learning and academic success at Lodge Park Academy.
Thank you in advance for your support

On Monday this week, students across all four house teams came together to compete in Lodge Park Academy's sports day. Students and staff arrived at Rockingham Triangle, the local athletics track, wearing their house colours with pride. Throughout the day, house teams went head-to-head in Athletics and Tug of War, with points accumulated across each of the events to determine the overall sports day champions.
It was fantastic to see students displaying the LPA values throughout the day. Overall House Champions for 2025, will be shared during the house champions reveal assembly on Thursday, 17th July.
