My Artistic Vision
I am an unconventional accordionist and composer, navigating the space between classical and contemporary, acoustic and electronic. My work delves into the hidden potential of the accordion, exploring its untapped sonic capabilities through a fusion of composition, improvisation, field recording, and sound design. Trained in classical music, I constantly seek to push the accordion beyond its conventional role, expanding my artistic practice through collaborations, cross-disciplinary influences, and an open, exploratory approach to sound. My goal is to find a new voice for my instrument and redefine its identity in the 21st century.

Collaboration is an essential cornerstone of my musical practice. The exchange of ideas, the convergence of diverse perspectives, and the shared creative process are integral to my work. Below, I highlight some of my most longstanding collaborative projects, with many others continuing to flourish and evolve.
Quartetto Aires
Founded in 2014, Quartetto Aires is a four-accordion ensemble dedicated to expanding the instrument’s chamber music repertoire. The quartet collaborates with contemporary composers, premiering new works alongside original arrangements of classical and modern pieces. With performances across Europe and the USA, Quartetto Aires blends influences from minimalism, tango, and experimental music.
Released in 2018, Alquimia is Quartetto Aires’ debut album and a statement of their artistic vision: to promote a new repertoire and redefine the image of the accordion. Through commissions, collaborations, and world premieres with Italian composers, the album showcases original works that explore the potential of this unique ensemble. Alquimia is a pioneering project that highlights Italian musical innovation and opens new perspectives for the accordion in contemporary music.
Duo AmbrosiVenturini
Founded in 2015, Duo AmbrosiVenturini has been praised by both audiences and critics for its expressive depth and ability to convey emotions. Their repertoire spans from Bach’s Gamba Sonatas to contemporary compositions, including Fibonacci Suite by jazz composer Bruno Cesselli, inspired by the Fibonacci sequence. Through a refined balance of tradition and innovation, the duo creates a compelling dialogue between past and present.
Trio Aurae
Founded in Copenhagen in 2019, Trio Aurae (accordion, violin, and cello) functions as a pocket orchestra, blending the expressive range of strings with the harmonic and rhythmic depth of the accordion. Their repertoire spans from Baroque to contemporary, with a strong focus on reinterpreting and transforming iconic works.
Their project Seasons is the result of over two years of intensive research, culminating in the world-première recording of Vivaldi’s Le Quattro Stagioni and Piazzolla’s Cuatro Estaciones Porteñas in a newly orchestrated version for this unique ensemble. The distinct combination of strings and accordion creates an entirely new soundscape, replacing the harpsichord and full orchestra in Vivaldi with a more contemporary texture, while adding depth and elegance to Piazzolla’s fiery tangos.
Through bold reimaginings and a commitment to expanding chamber music possibilities, Trio Aurae pushes the boundaries of tradition while remaining deeply rooted in musical storytelling.
Orchestras
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of collaborating with esteemed orchestras, such as the Orchestra del Teatro La Fenice (Venice), Orchestra del Teatro Carlo Felice di Genova, and Orchestra Filarmonia Veneta. These collaborations have provided the occasion to engage with both classical and contemporary repertoires, while also participating in the premiere of new compositions.
