8 JUNE 2025
We are now into the Camino walking rhythm with only tender feet and some blistered toes to deal with. We didn’t see much sun today but the temperature was still warm and humid.
Today’s walk wasn’t anywhere as spectacular as yesterday, so we’ll call it a transition day, hoping we might get spoilt for more interesting scenery in the coming days.
The path varied from small country lanes to rocky paths, there were the occasional pilgrims and our Amigo friends walked a stretch with a group of French women, all cousins that walk sections of the Camino every year.
We had a small drama at the end of the day when we struggled to locate our accommodation and also get in touch with the owner to give us access. It all worked out in the end, but not without some mild panic and the thought process engaged to work through worst case scenarios and alternate accommodation options. Lucky it didn’t come to that as there weren’t a great deal of options on hand!
An easy 8km walk tomorrow as we drop in and spend a day at a monastery. So forewarning that it might be very basic with no internet = no blog!
