Council Meeting
The next regular City Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 7:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers located at 5938 Kauffman Avenue. Members of the public can attend the meeting in person or watch the livestream of the meeting online by CLICKING HERE and on Youtube, ConnectwithTC.
Youth Committee Recruitment
The Youth Committee will meet in August for orientation workshop and resume their meetings starting in September.

Neon Night Walk
All are welcome as we conclude Parks and Recreation Month celebrations with Neon Night Walk. This free event is held at Live Oak Park on Friday, July 26th from 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm. Bring your family and friends and enjoy our walking paths in neon colors and black light stations while enjoying music and games! Glow sticks, bracelets, face paint, and more will be available, or you can bring your own. All participants are eligible for the free raffle to win prizes.

Live Oak Park Playground Groundbreaking Event
Join us on Saturday, August 3rd at 10:00 am as we break ground on the Live Oak Park Playground Renovation Project! This event is free for all to attend as we continue our playground enhancements in Temple City. Activities include commemorative giveaways, photo opportunities, light refreshments, dignitary remarks and the groundbreaking. The space themed playground features a main rocket climber, space station 2-5 year old area, comet group spinner, rover vehicle, swings, shade sails, exercise equipment, lighting and enhanced seating. Be a part of Temple City history as we reimagine the Live Oak Park “rocket ship” for the next generation!

Concerts in the Park
Temple City has hosted free concerts each summer for over 24 years. The concert series will run for ten weeks, from June through August. Concerts will take place at Temple City Park, 9701 Las Tunas Dr., from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Join us as we celebrate the sounds of the summer! As a reminder canopies and umbrellas are not allowed in the concert area out of courtesy for other concert-goers. Food can be brought in, however, food and drinks will be available for purchase on-site for the concert series.

Permits Issued for ACE Hardware
The City issued permits for a new ACE Hardware store at 9450 Las Tunas Drive, the former location of a Rite Aid. The 20,000 square foot store will be twice the size as the store on Sierra Madre Blvd. and will include:

• Electrical and plumbing supplies
• Lawn and garden supplies
• Tools
• Paint counter
• Housewares
• Cleaning supplies
• Backyard and BBQ
• Seasonal items
The store will be open seven days a week from 7:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. and is expected to open for business in late October.
