Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®) New York Metro is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has served sick children and families in the Long Island region for nearly 40 years. Every year, RMHC New York Metro supports and cares for over 12,000 families by providing compassionate care so that families can stay close to their sick or injured children. Our care programs include the Ronald McDonald House, two Ronald McDonald Family Rooms and the Ronald McDonald Hospitality Carts. Together, we create communities of support for sick families in their time of need.

Honoring Sameer Chopra
Sameer Chopra is a founding partner at Chopra & Nocerino, LLP, the exclusive personal injury law firm for the New York Mets, the New York Islanders, and UBS Arena. Sameer is a celebrated and accomplished lawyer, having recently been selected by Forbes Advisor as a Top Personal Injury Attorney for New York in 2024 & 2025. Recently, in 2024, the firm secured one of the largest recoveries in the State of New York. Sameer received his Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School and his B.S. from SUNY Albany and has been practicing law since 2007.

Sameer cares deeply for the welfare of his fellow New Yorkers. His passion for service manifests in community-building efforts across the five boroughs and overseas, where his firm supports charitable causes that fund research, provide critical resources, and brings hope to families in need. From hosting a record-breaking Thanksgiving Day turkey give away to partnering with cancer research organizations, Sameer is excited to further his commitment to helping those in need through his partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) New York Metro. As this year's Gala honoree, Sameer will be helping raise essential funds that will help continue RMHC's mission of providing essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families, and promote healing when children need healthcare.
