Dear Bluejay Family,
It’s wonderful to be back together after the holidays! Last week may have been a chilly start, but our Bluejays have already been soaring into the new semester with great energy.
A few reminders for the upcoming week as we settle back into our routine:
- Please take a moment to check and settle any outstanding lunch account balances. You can check and resolve your balances here.
- Spirit Night is this Tuesday, January 14, at Viva la Waffle. Enjoy great food and Bluejay fellowship while supporting our school!
- We will have early dismissal on Friday at 11:30 for Parent Teacher Conferences. Aftercare will be available.

Catholic Schools Week
We will celebrate Catholic Schools Week January 26th-January 31st.
SCS Yearbook Sale
The St. Cecilia School yearbook is now on sale! Save $5 if you purchase your yearbook before February 1st. ORDER NOW to reserve your copy. SCS Mass
Mass is on Wednesday at 8:30 and will be hosted by 8th grade boys. Guests may join us for limited seating in the church, choir loft, Narthex, and the PLC. You can also join us online at shbroussard.org/live.

7th Grade Retreat
Please pray for our 7th graders as they go on retreat Tuesday.
7th graders- bus leaves at 8:30 and will return at approximately 2:00. All must bring their own lunch!
Formation Night
Tuesday, January 14, 6:00-7:00 in the One Heart Building. More details can be found HERE.
Youth Ministry
Tuesday, January 14, dismissal-4:00 for all 3rd-5th graders. Students attending may wear purple Youth Ministry shirts with uniform bottoms. YMCA leaders are allowed to wear grey Campus Ministry shirts with uniform bottoms.
Attending students- please bring a rosary and crayons/markers with you!
Pro-Life Festival
The Diocese of Lafayette Festival C'est La Vie is on January 18 at Parc San Souci from 10:00-1:00. There will be an ecumenical prayer walk to pray for an increase in respect for all human life from conception to natural death. The event will also include praise & worship music, a guest speaker, games, food and family fun. Adults, families and youth groups are invited to join and volunteer for this event. Quarter 2 Report Card Release
Report cards were released this past Friday, January 10, between 3:00 PM and 3:30 PM. The report cards will be accessible for 2 weeks. Please print them for your records if needed.
HIS HOUSE
Quarter 2 HIS HOUSE Assembly
Our next HIS HOUSE Assembly will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. Your child should be receiving information directly from his/her house about the “Olympics” theme and dress options. We encourage everyone to participate and show some spirit for their beloved house. Remember: Students are encouraged to wear house colored shirts with uniform bottoms. Any accessories or costume pieces should be added before the assembly and not worn to school and should relate to the theme. Due to the nature of the assembly and the need for space, please be reminded that the assembly is reserved for student body, faculty, and staff attendance only.

REMINDER: Registration and Perpetual Maintenance fees for the 25-26 school year will be billed beginning Monday, January 13, 2025. Please note that these fees are NON-REFUNDABLE and payment is due in full no later than January 31, 2025.

It is important to remember that once a payment plan has been set up and your enrollment process has been completed, all changes to your payment plan(s) must be communicated with, and processed through, the finance department.
Parish Non-tithing fees will be billed in February 2025.

Dear Bluejay Family,
This week was a busy one for our basketball boys and girls. They were in action all four days this week. The postseason tournaments are approaching the final week of January. Our soccer teams were victims of cold and wet weather on Tuesday, but got back on the field on Saturday. Our teams are looking good as we are approaching the final two weeks of the regular season. This week we will honor our 8th grade boys and girls basketball players on Wednesday and Thursday respectively. Please come out to support them for their final home game. Registration is closed for baseball and softball and is still ongoing for golf, track, tennis, and swimming.

As a reminder as we play games next week, please refer to the Athletic Handbook. Admission is $6 for adults, and $1 for children. SCS students, staff and teachers as well as active duty military, veterans, and first responders are admitted free for home games in our gym.
