Dear families, We’re going to Boston & Salem in Summer 2026, and you’re invited! We’re excited to tell you more about the trip we’re planning with EF Tours, our educational travel partner.

You MUST register for this info session to be considered for this opportunity: https://rsvp.efexploreamerica.com/bzpy2ea When students travel, they expand their knowledge of the world around them, discover more about themselves, and grow more confident. These skills are critical for creating the global citizens of tomorrow, and we would love to have your student join us on this adventure.

· In this info session, we’ll talk about:

· How this opportunity will benefit your student

· What we’ll see and do on our trip

· Everything that’s included in this experience

· How your child can earn academic credit

· How we’re keeping this safe and affordable

· How to enroll on this trip (before it fills up!) during EF’s risk-free enrollment period

There are limited spots on this trip, so we would love to have you attend this meeting to learn more about this exciting opportunity! Thanks, Dan Seeber Please note this is a non-school sponsored trip.

SAVE THE DATE! Our annual Riffenburgh Fun Run will take place on Friday, October 10th, during the school day. In the weeks leading up to the Fun Run, students will raise money that will support classroom supplies, equipment updates, and improvements to our school. (Check out this list of some of the awesome things we've provided in the past few years!) During the Fun Run, our students run, skip, and have fun doing laps on our run course while families cheer them on!

This amazing school-wide event wouldn't be possible without the support of our Riffenburgh families and generous sponsorship donations from local businesses. Here are some ways you can help!

  • Are you interested in learning more about sponsorship opportunities for your business or employer? Please email RiffenburghPTO@gmail.com and we can send you a packet of information.
  • Would you like to help plan this event? No previous experience necessary! We'll plan to meet in-person for a kick-off meeting soon, but most of the discussions and planning will take place via email. Email RiffenburghPTO@gmail.com for more information.
  • Would you like to volunteer during the Fun Run? Go ahead and mark it on your calendar. Stay tuned for sign up information in September.

SRO CORNER

SRO Corner Introduction

Welcome to 2025-2026 school year!

With the coming of a new school year, your Fort Collins Police School Resource Officers wanted to take a moment to introduce our program. Our SRO program began in Fort Collins in 1995 as a result of a partnership between Fort Collins Police Services and the Poudre School District.

We have three basic goals:

Provide a safe learning environment and help reduce school violence.

Improve school/law enforcement collaboration.

And to improve the perceptions and relations between students, staff, and law enforcement officials.

Currently the FCPS SRO team is comprised of 11 officers, 2 corporals, and 1 sergeant who oversees the SRO Program. These 11 officers have responsibilities for all 38 PSD schools within the City of Fort Collins limits.

We often are asked what we do as SROs, this can be summarized through the concept from the National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO) concept of “The Triad”.

The three components of The Triad are Law Enforcement, Mentorship/counseling, and Guest Speaking/teaching.

Our SROs are carefully selected, specifically trained, and properly equipped law enforcement officers who are assigned to work in a school or school community in accordance with the NASRO standard.

Our SROs are always available for questions.

If you have questions about your SRO, please consider sending an email
