.
How did we get to the end of the year? Well, we did and genuinely what a fantastic year it has been.
I have to start with an enormous thank you to everybody in our school community for your support each and every day. It means more than any words I can put on here. It’s truly humbling and so gratefully received – we also need it! So again, please remember the words, ‘thank you!’
I must thank the children for making our school so special. Another huge thank you must go to the staff team for helping the children to develop into such special young people.
I wish the fondest farewell to our Year 6 leavers who of course will be attending secondary school in September. I know that they will continue to make everybody proud and really hope that they grasp the opportunities on offer with both hands. By repeating their efforts here, this will certainly happen.
It’s also time to say to say thank you and some special goodbyes to Miss Fudge, Miss Keen, Miss Harris and Mrs. Marrow. I thank them for their hard work at Birkwood and everything that they have contributed. I wish them all the very best in September as they move on to pastures new.
I had to share the Rock Steady Assembly with you – please enjoy. A brilliant occasion as always and thank you Aaron. The Rock Stars were exactly that!
Thank you to everybody who was able to attend the end of year assemblies as always these were brilliant and a pleasure to lead. I again wish to share to our some of the Year’s highlights – kindly put together by Mr. Summerfield. A great source of reflection and pride.
I have been asked to share the following-
What will you do with your old Year 6 Birkwood uniform?
Mrs Wilkie would like to create a bag of spares.
Any school uniform which is still in good condition would be greatly appreciated including:
- Trousers / skirts
- Shirts
- Jumpers/cardigans
- PE shorts
We also wish to share information on this year’s Summer Reading Challenge – please click the link and enjoy!
Sign up at Cudworth library and let us know how you got on in September.
One our wonderful parents has requested that we promote the following fantastic event. Please go along and join the fun!
I really hope that everybody has a fantastic summer break, stays safe and enjoys some more fantastic weather. Already, I am very excited to welcome you all back in September. Take great care and as ever, enjoy some special family time. Please remember – September 1st is a full day at Birkwood for everyone – see you then.
