The Spa has been an amazing success. It’s growth pushed it out of the space we had in the back room and we opened are able open a beautiful spa and wellness center in a separate space down the hall that is operated by Myra May. It offers all aspects of skincare, waxing, massage and medi-spa services.
What are challenges...
Since we are located on busy Main Street deep inside the building, we have several challenges we face daily. Although we have a municipal parking lot adjacent to the building, it fills up very quickly in the summer especially during festival season. Most vehicles stay for extended periods of time which make it difficult for our team and guests to find parking. Visibility and awareness of our business has also been a challenge for us since we are not visibly on Main Street. Still, locals ask when and how long we’ve been here?
Our location is unique, open, elegant and private allowing us to offer a more elevated experience.
What does the future hold for your business?
I envision acquiring 3-4 more stylists within the next year and begin to invest in expanding new and advanced spa services. We would like to be known as the place to go while in Rockland, ME only offering unique services that make us stand out above the rest.
