Philippines Vintage Postcard

I created a vintage style postcard for the destination of the Philippians. While creating this piece I learned the basic functions of the adobe photoshop platform, such as how to make gradients, overlays and photo styles. I learned how to imbed photos in text, and I learned the art of typography. My goal for the piece to provide a vintage postcard to one of my favorite countries I have visited. Throughout the piece to the beauties, I experienced I used photos of destinations I visited as well as different things I did or enjoyed. I am quite proud of the piece for it being my first ever attempt in the photoshop world, however I wish I experimented more with different styles such as bevel and emboss or overlays. When my audience views this peace i want to provide the feeling of something excited and something

the Circus

I created a post card resembling an old-time circus flyer. During the process of making this piece I learn how to merge photos using clipping masks to make a stylized or realistic picture with an assortment of different photos. The goal for this piece was to express the challenged females face in their daily lives. Females are expected to be beautiful and to never falter or there considered unattractive. Females haft to put on a show wherever they go to be socially accepted, and in the end because of this, there letting both society and men control them. My goal was to prove the horrors of this fact through the light of a Cercis performer. I want this peice to exude the feeling of unease. and a I'm quite proud of me piece. however, I would have liked to experiment more with paper overlays, as well as values in the piece so there not all so similar. I also however wish the hand was in a different style. because it feels as though it doesn't match the piece.

The Dragon's Curse

I created a mockup of a book cover for a book I have written named The Dragon's Curse. During this piece I have learned how to create 3d mockup for 3d projects or objects. the main thing I learned for this photo was how to change a digitally drawn picture to give the idea it was made from paper and photographed. I experimented heavily with the drop shadow feature to provide the feeling that there are countless pieces of paper stacked on top of one another. My goal for this piece was to create a book cover I was proud of for a book that I written about a world that has been cursed from the one being that used to protect it. I wanted to show how the dragon is both alive and dead through the use of the skeleton protruding from the skin on the back of the book. I'm overall extremely proud of this piece, it gave of the vibe that I originally wanted. I absolutely loved the process of making it even through it was extremely time consuming. I however wished my colors stayed a bit more consistent through the piece. I wanted my piece to provide a sense of wonder so they would be drawn to read it. I also wanted the piece to be both exciting and slightly dreary. I used the bones and snarled expression to add the dreary felling. The snarled expression with the clouds as well as the dragon in general was to push the idea of wounder and excitement.

The Fallen Angel

I created a movie poster for a scientific film about an angel that fell frame grace and became a test. Throughout this peace I learned different techniques to draw and add, many different values with only four colors. I also learned how to fill selected areas with a specific color and how to take a flat picture and make all the colors have a different layer. I also learned the important of overlays and paper textures because it can change the piece into something absolutely breathtaking. My goal for this piece was to show the greed of humans, I wanted to show that when were given something beautiful we seem to break it and corrupt its nature or destroy it all together. I want the piece to give off the feeling on unease, to feel almost discussed by the monstrosity of a once beautiful angel. I'm extremely proud of this piece. it portrayed just the emotions I wanted; I loved the values. I absolutely loved the process of drawing the angel and adding the contrasts and paper textures. I fell in love with the vintage aesthetic.
