Thank You to P and C
A massive thanks to our P and C for their generous contribution of $8000 towards our Playground Marking Project. We all look forward to getting our new markings completed as soon as possible.
NSW Public Schools Student Survey
The NSW Public Schools Surveys (NPSS) are a new suite of surveys designed to gather insights from students, parents and teachers about their experiences at school. These insights help school leaders understand what’s working well and where improvements can be made. The NSW Public Schools Student Survey will be conducted in Term 2, providing students in Years 3 to 12 the opportunity to share what matters to them most – whether it’s feeling supported, engaged in learning or safe at school. An opt- out form with further information will be sent out in the next couple of days (paper copy). It is only necessary to return the form if you do not give consent for your child to participate.
Zone Cross Country
Congratulations to all the students who competed at the Zone Cross Country Carnival held at Turner Park. Our students demonstrated outstanding perseverance and resilience in tough conditions, both with the weather and the track.
Mulbring was proud to have four students qualify for the Regional Carnival. Well done to Archer D, Sam H, Atticus D and Jack P — we wish you all the best of luck at this event!
Regional Cross Country has been postponed, new date to be advised.
Children's University Program
Students in Class 4/5/6 have been thoroughly enjoying their Children’s University journey by engaging in a wide variety of learning experiences beyond the classroom.
This week, we launched our Learning Lunches, which will continue throughout Term 2. During these sessions, students have the opportunity to interview staff members to learn more about their personal learning journeys growing up, as well as the role models who inspired them.
A representative from the University of Newcastle recently visited our school and was extremely impressed with the progress our students have made and the diverse range of learning experiences they have entered into their passports. Well done to all!
We are all excited about our upcoming Campus Discovery Day on 26th June, where parents will be warmly invited to join us for this fantastic opportunity. Notes have been sent out on School Bytes.
Small Schools Athletics Carnival
All students and staff at Mulbring are thrilled that our Small Schools Athletics Carnival is just a few short weeks away! The event will take place on Friday 30th May at Turner Park, Cessnock.
The carnival is for all students from Kindergarten to Year 6. Students aged 8 years and older will compete in the athletic track and field events, with the opportunity to qualify for the Cessnock Zone Carnival. Younger students will enjoy a variety of tabloid events and fun activities alongside students from other small schools.
We’re looking forward to a fantastic day of sport, fun, and school spirit!
