We Specialize in offering Time Efficient Training solutions
Sunrise's HCA (Health Care Aide) program is a hybrid, with five days of online content that can be started immediately upon registration and 16 hours of hands-on skills for 7 days of training. We also assist our students with the Prometric Testing process, and they can take the skills and written test in Everett, WA, decreasing anxiety and allowing for more confidence while testing.
Our Bridge CNA/NAC program upgrades from a Certified HCA to a Certified CNA/NAC, allowing employees to work in Nursing Homes, Rehabilitation Centers, Medical Clinics, and Hospitals.
Washington State now has an apprenticeship LPN program that is online for training and allows CNAs/NACs to work in long-term care while they upgrade their skills. Candidates are required to work 6 months as a CNA/NAC and complete six online classes to enter the LPN program.
Can't Afford Training and Own or Work in an Adult Family Home?
- Adult Family Home employees can receive 100% financial assistance through the Long-Term Health Foundation.
- AFH owners must apply and attend a short online orientation meeting.
- Once registered and qualified, their employees can receive the following training: 75-hour HCA, CNA, CPR, and Nurse Delegation at no cost to their employer or the employee. The student fills out a quick form and requests the training be provided by Sunrise Caregiving Training, and once approved, Sunrise works directly through them for billing.
Washington State Workforce Council approved Sunrise Training Programs, both HCA and NAC programs, resulting in state funding for students who are unemployed or underemployed. If you are unemployed and qualify, you may be able to extend your benefits throughout your training program.
State Funding may include all classes needed for the 75 HCA, NAC, CPR, ND, and NDD. Sunrise works closely with the registration process and assists the new candidate in connecting to this fantastic opportunity.
Did you pass your HCA or NAC course but have not yet taken your certification Written and Skills test because you don't feel skill-ready? We have the following options for you:
HCA Skills Refresher Lab & Online Skills Videos (79.00)
This 3-hour course is for HCAs that want more lab time and skills guidance before taking their state skills exam. It is open to all students whether they completed their 75-hours at Sunrise or in another location, or online. Some outside programs do not offer skill practice in person and this class is ideal for them to take.
The LPN Instructor will treat the class as a mock exam. Students will complete one skill at a time and be offered instant feedback as whether it is thought they met the criteria for a pass and be given feedback about any mistakes made. Students are then allowed to practice the skill one more time. Then they move on to the next skill. In the end the instructor will give feedback as to whether they see the student ready for the exam or if it is recommended for more practice.
The course comes with videotapes of all the primary testable skills that can be accessed for one month after the refresher course. This allows the student to focus on visual review for any skills they feel weak in. If the student needs more than one month of viewing they can call Sunrise to access another free month.
NAC Refresher Skills Lab & Skills Refresher Course
Do you feel like you need just a bit more practice working on your skills before your HCA or NAC State tests?
The NAC/CNA refresher allows you to work independently on the skills you need more practice on. An instructor will be present to answer questions as needed and give you feedback on whether your performance would pass a skill test exam. There is no CE credit given for these Skills Refreshers.
Do you have more questions? You can reach us online at www.sunrisecaregivertraining.com, by phone at 360-755-3801 or 425-212-4210, or by email at enrollment@sunriseemail.com.
16-Hour Skills HCA or CNA Package
This class is specifically designed to help students who earned an HCA basic certificate or a CNA/NAC Certificate without having the opportunity to learn the skills in a skills lab and practice them to mastery.
It is also for individuals who may have passed their basic course some time ago and have forgotten many skills. Currently, the regulations state that an individual now has 4 years from completing the course to testing for State Certification. These classes will help you update your knowledge of skills and will give you plenty of opportunities to practice them so you feel ready for the certification testing.
The class is taught by our LPN, Darla, and revolves around demonstration, practicing, and skill mastery while working within small learning groups. Darla brings humor and active learning to her skills sessions, which makes the course so much more enjoyable. This is a noncredit class.
