Light Painting Circle

In this Project we were able to create any sort of light painting. What I did as set up my camera and then grabbed a light strip and just started spinning it around really fast. What my plan was, was to try and get a few circles of light. I was able to achieve this and there were also extra little circles that appeared due to just how fast i ended up spinning the light. I hope that this is able to get you the audience up and trying something like this with your own little twist on it.

Trapped Scrolling

For this project I was luckily able to convince a family member to help. What we did was set up a very dim light in their lap, then also hold the phone. This was able to capture the head of the person as well as the phone. My hopes for this project was to try and make it look a bit gloomy. I did this so the viewers would feel that next time they're just sitting around endlessly scrolling they think about this piece and get up and go enjoy life.

Deconstruction Flower

In this project we were tasked with finding and object the take apart and deconstruct. So I went with a nice-looking flower, took all the pedals off and laid them out in order of smallest pedal to largest. I then put the stem and center of the flower right next to them. I then adjusted the lighting and took the photo and then this project was complete.

Deconstruction alt color

In this project we were tasked with finding and object the take apart and deconstruct like the original deconstruction but alter the color from the original. So I went with the same nice-looking flower, took all the pedals off and laid them out in order of smallest pedal to largest. I then put the stem and center of the flower right next to them. After taking the photo i took it into photoshop to change the photo and I did so by selecting the flower layer a changing several different effects, to create this blur and green color.

Sculpture with light.

For this assignment we were tasked with taking any object and making it look sculpted into something else. I went for a different approach and took some decorative bowls set them up in a face and set up a light strip underneath that I moved very quickly when taking the photo to form a face. I hope that with this project you see that even some of the project that seem a bit bland can be turned into something very creative and changed however you want it to be.

Hope for change

For this project were were given word and we had to take a photo that related to the word, we could use the word however we wanted though so I chose to use mine positively. So, I went and grabbed a plant from my house, some trash and recycle and laid them in a bucket they adjusted the angle of my camera and made it look like the plant was sprouting form the trash causing us to have hope that with change we can have a good sustainable earth to live on.

ICM Photo

ICM mean, Intentional Camera Movement. When we were given this opportunity, I wasn't to sire right away what to do so I went with my dog and thought if it doesn't work, I can find a different thing to work with. But once I took the right photo, I knew that my dog was the right choice. I took the photo by having my dog sit still, then took he photo while zooming out my camera lens. I really liked it because it made it look like a younger version of my dog was inside his current self.

Tree to Trash

This was one of our first projects of the year for Photography class and so I went with a theme that I really care about which is the topic of climate change and how it is affecting us, the main topic was recycling and how not doing it effects out plants. So, I went around my house deciding which plant was the best fit for this, then I took my family's recycle bin and took some items from it laid them out and took a picture of that as well I then went into photoshop and edited the two photos to form the image above.

Futbol is Life

I took the emblem from a soccer team that is full of true never fake fans that will love their club till they die. I tried to make it look as though someone has come through and re-stitched the emblem back on to the scarf on the background, to show that they love this club. I also added the words FutBol is Life, this is so it looks as though the person also added some words that are truly meaningful. I hope this makes you show some love to something that you truly love and appreciate in this world.

Endless Road

With this image I took a photo of the scenery and though I would how long this road could truly go on for if we didn't take and exit. So, for this project I took a snippet of the road and flipped it upside down and this was able to create the effect that the road was never ending. I hope while looking at this piece you think of all the endless paths and roads you could take if you put your mind to it and not just let if fade away and become a part of the past.

Catus Bokeh

In this project we were given the task of making paper cut outs to put on out lens so the light that came into the lens would take the form of the cut out. I went with a heart shape because of my huge love for plants. I really feel that the way I executed this project was actually pretty good. I also took a photo with a peace sign, but it really didn't fit the theme, so heart it was. I hope that looking at this photo you see that even something so simplistic can have love and beauty to it.

Connecting arch

Within this assignment we had total freedom on what kind of images to use and what size strips we wanted to use, so I went for something involving the outdoors. I got these photos while on a road trip with my family to the Arches in Utah during spring break. I was hoping to make it appear as though the arch was connecting the hill in the other image but with the arch it would have the passageway through the middle. I did really enjoy this project and the way it turned out and how you as the viewer do as well.

Bridge from No-were

With this project I took one of my photos from the Grand Canyon and took a snippet of the image and created a bridge to create a passageway for people and animals to cross. Instead of just adding a man-made bridge the nature look make it look as though the environment has not truly been affected and will remain a beautiful place for several animals to live and for people to visit and admire. I hope this sparks your creativity as the audience to go out there and create something abstract that you like.

Biggest arch

With this image I took the original image of the arch and cropped out a new one pushed it up formed the bottom part to connect to the top and make the arch even larger to make it look like the largest arch possible. The reason I didn't blend in the top part was to make it look abstract like it's not possible but yet also definitely possible. I hope this gives you inspiration to get out there and create your own abstract photography that seems impossible but yet you can make it possible.

Sewed Down

In this image I took my flower deconstruction from earlier and with it I added sewing marks to the sides of each pedal and the stem, as well as the center of the flower. I did this to create a look of trying to turn the original image into a piece that can get put into a frame and get hung on a wall while making it look like the flower was still there and not just a photo. This should get the audience feeling like they can do something like this with how simplistic yet detailed it is.
