On August 9, 2021, President John C. Bravman announced the largest single pledge in Bucknell University history: a $40 million commitment from Michael C. Pascucci '58 that earmarked $30 million toward unrestricted financial aid along with $10 million toward enhancements in and around Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium.
The first two phases of the Pascucci Family Athletics Complex project have been completed. A state-of-the-art, 25'x50' high-definition video board was installed in the fall of 2021 and has greatly enhanced the spectator experience at football, lacrosse, and track & field events. Next, a brand new FieldTurf practice field debuted in the fall of 2022, providing a picturesque training site in the shadows of the famed Christy Mathewson Gates.
Phase III of the project is currently under construction: the Michael C. Pascucci Team Center. Located at the north end of the stadium and adjacent to the new practice field, this 16,000-square-foot facility will be equipped with a spacious strength and conditioning center, team meeting and event space, sports medicine center, student-athlete fueling station, and men's lacrosse locker room. The facility is slated to open in 2024.

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING
Jermaine Truax, Director of Athletics & Recreation
With construction underway on the Pascucci Team Center, we are able to watch first-hand as our dream of a modern, first-class student-athlete performance center at the stadium becomes a reality. Facilities such as this allow Bucknell to excel as a highly competitive NCAA Division I school with one of the broadest men's and women's athletics programs in all of college sports. Michael Pascucci's commitments to both financial aid and athletics help us fulfill our mission of helping our student-athletes reach their fullest potential, on and off the field. We are so incredibly thankful to Mr. Pascucci and all of the contributors to this project for their support of Bison student-athletes.
Dave Cecchini, the Bob Odell Head Coach of Bucknell Football
I can't thank Mr. Pascucci enough for his incredible pledge, which will have a profound impact on Bucknell University and the Bison football program for generations to come. The new video board looks magnificent perched in the south end of the stadium. The new team support facility will also be a game-changer for our program, as it will allow us to relocate our cramped weight room and meeting rooms into a beautiful new space.
Frank Fedorjaka, Head Men's Lacrosse Coach
Mr. Pascucci's landmark gift is going to have an immeasurable impact on the current and future student-athletes in the Bucknell men's lacrosse program. Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium has been a great home field for us since we started playing games there 20 years ago, but now with locker room, weight room and meeting spaces all part of the Pascucci Family Athletics Complex, it will truly feel like a home for our team.
Kevin Donner, Head Men's & Women's Cross Country/Track & Field Coach
The Bucknell track and field program hosts a number of high-profile meets every year, and the enhancements to the stadium with the new scoreboard and the Pascucci Team Center will give Bucknell one of the finest track and field facilities in the East. On behalf of the nearly 170 student-athletes in the Bison Spiked Shoe program, a sincere thank you to Mr. Pascucci for giving back to Bucknell in such a deeply impactful way.
