Belle's Online Portfolio Computer Graphic design fall 2024

For this project we were said to create a postcard you may find in a gift shop from a place of our choosing. For mine I chose Finland and created a postcard I thought best envisioned what I wanted. Through this project I learned how to put pictures or images into text and add layer styles to better customize my project. My goal for this project was to use my knowledge from my visit to Finland and turn that into a legible and interesting postcard. I feel very proud and while it was my first work and think I have very much improved it still holds a place in one of my favorites. I hope that from this my audience feels the same connection to Finland that I felt when I visited and enjoys the incorporation of all of my favorite things we did while there.

For this project I created a photo collage on plastic pollution. Through this project I learned to adjust and change photos and images to look cohesive together in one image. My goal with this project was to help show how plastic pollution farms animals and their habitats. I believe that I could have done better but considering my time limit and skill level at the moment I do believe this was the best possible outcome. I hope that from my piece people can see and understand the influence and effects of plastic pollution.

For my project I was told to create a screen print Movie Poster. Throughout this project I learned to use thresholds and color theory. My goal with this project was to use only 4 colors to create an interesting and fantastic poster. I feel very good about this piece and believe I was able to do my best and include many elements of my vision. From this piece I hope the viewers feel interested and wish it was a real movie.

In the beginning of this project we were asked to take a book we have already read and use cut media to create a new version of it. We were to choose one type of media and I chose leather. I thought the texture was really cool and that I could make something interesting out of it. My book was called The Snow Fox by Rosemary Shojaie. Through this project I learned how to cut media from an image and use layer styles to blend them together. My goal with this project was to take the original cover which was very pale and turned down and add vibrant colors to that. I feel very good about this project and as always I believe I could have done better, I am still very happy with the results. From my book I hope the audience feels the emotions of the book through the colors and can more easily tell what the book is about or similar too.
