New Restaurant: Posh Jah opens in Borgergade

Opened November 2023, Posh Jah, a new Japanese restaurant in the city center. The restaurant is the long-awaited sister restaurant to our popular Jah Izakaya on Gasværksvej in Vesterbro. On Posh Jah's menu you'll find Japanese classics made from the best local and Japanese ingredients, and you'll also find familiar classics from Jah Izakaya at Posh. But while Jah Izakaya sticks to the izakaya-inspired dishes, Posh Jah also offers sushi and tempura dishes.

The premises, which you'll find in the old Kay Fisker building at Borgergade 17A, has had a full makeover and is now rebuilt in true Japanese style, with clean lines, organic materials and art that references both Japan and its sister restaurant Jah Izakaya. Light-colored planks make up the tables and surfaces, creating a bright and alluring restaurant with both intimate nooks and larger communal areas.

Høst is the Danish word for harvest. As the name reveals, great Nordic ingredients and seasonal greens sets the agenda at Høst—served with a sense of both the rustic and the elegant, and always with big flavors.

In Sankt Peders Stræde in the middle of Copenhagen’s old Latin quarter you will find Vækst. Gastronomically, Vækst is based on fresh Nordic vegetables and herbs but we still enjoy a great steak, seafood, and fresh fish.

Delphine (directly a cross from Coco hotel) brings the food and atmosphere of the Greek archipelago and southern Italy to the heart of Vesterbro. the restaurant's extensive menu offers a varied selection of seafood meats and green dishes. whole fish and shellfish are prepared on the large Parilla grill.

On the plate, you’ll find great French produce and specialities combined with the kitchens flair for classic cooking.

Sea meets land in Nørrebro’s ultimate neighborhood restaurant Oysters & Grill. Dive into our oyster menu, shelled prawns, the many different kinds of clams, langoustines, squid, ceviche, steak tartare or well-cooked meat. Add cocktails and lots of champagne and you’re in for at great evening.

Spuntino is like gathering the family or a group of great friends at a table in an Italian backyard on a warm summer evening. Underneath the greenery and beautiful lights, you are served plenty of organic and local produce, prepared the classic Italian way and served family-style on platters. Feast on local vegetables, air-dried ham from a small town outside Parma, our own freshly made linguine, and organic beef. Simple, cosy, and informal.

Our bright basement restaurant in the heart of Vesterbro is where it all began in 2004, and Restaurant Cofoco is still one of a kind in our palette of dining options. Both the food and the decor is full of contrasts; the rustic and the elegant, the simple and the complex. We start with great Danish ingredients and prepare them in the way they shine brightest; in Danish, sometimes Mediterranean, and at other times with inspiration from far corners of the globe.

Scarpetta Rantzausgade and Scarpetta Islands Brygge are both a modern and authentic restaurant. That means we base our dishes on the classic Italian tastes and we are always looking for Italian ingredients that represent the sides of Italy that most Copenhageners may not know.

Jah Izakaya & Sake Bar wants to expand the culinary horizon in Copenhagen to also include genuine Japanese izakaya cuisine. Jah Izakaya & Sake Bar is also Copenhagen's first real sake bar, with a wide selection of both classic sake, as well as the wilder and unfiltered "natural sake".

Llama is among the first restaurants in the region to draw on the flavors of the Latin American continent. Inspired by Peru, Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador, Chile, and, moving a bit to the north, Mexico, the menu features ceviches, anticuchos, Uruguayan-style meats, tacos, and a list of South American spirits. But Llama is without question rooted in the Nordic region and aims to thoughtfully and sensibly marry the South American inspiration with Scandinavian products and recipes.

When the Italians sit down at an osteria they expect a quick, honest, and simple meal made from local produce served alongside a carafe of good wine. It’s the same at Vespa, our cosy and warm osteria in the middle of old Copenhagen. Menus are short, food is served on platters and in small bowls for sharing.

At Corsa we bake sourdough pizzas with a focus on the best organic ingredients from Italy and Denmark. Take them with you or eat with us. We also have a large selection of antipasti in several of the restaurants, so you can linger and enjoy a good glass of wine with your meal for a longer time. (4 locations)

With its green courtyard and relaxed atmosphere, Café Coco, at Coco Hotel offers an attractive and chic oasis in the heart of Vesterbro. THE VIBE

Upon entering the hotel, you will find Café Coco, a bright airy space which serves as a hub for guests and locals who use it to meet friends and for informal business meetings. The adjacent courtyard offers coffee, locally sourced light meals, snacks and of course a thoughtfully selected wine list, drinks, and cocktails.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Surrounding a green and serene courtyard, the hotel's 88 rooms are designed to make you feel welcome and comfortable whether staying for business or pleasure. Located in the heart of Vesterbro neighborhood, considered the cultural lifeblood of the city, guests have easy access to everything Copenhagen offers. Named 'One of the 10 World's Coolest Neighborhoods in the World' by Lonely Planet, the area just keeps getting better and Coco hotel adds to that cool factor.

The hotel offers eight categories of rooms: Single, Small Double, Double, Twin, Triple, Superior, Superior Room, Family Suite, and the Junior Suite. Ranging from 150 sq ft to 270 sq ft. larger rooms include a cosy sitting area and each room has an ensuite bath with either a shower and/or bathtub. Rooms are functionally decorated without compromising comfort or design. SUSTAINABILITY

Don’t let the beautiful suites fool you, this is a hotel with sustainability at its core. From morning to night, everything revolves around the sun, whether it’s streaming through the dormer windows of each room or powering the lights each night with electricity generated by Cofoco's very own solar field. Café Coco primarily serves organic products, and you will find no plastic bottles in the minibar. All towels and bed linens are made from organic cotton. The entire building has been renovated with energy and water saving solutions and, like Cofoco's restaurants, the hotel is covered by sustainable energy from Cofoco's own solar park in Nees, North West Jutland.
