This website is regularly updated to inform you about current, upcoming, and past study abroad studies involving health systems, public health, and managing healthcare organizations.

All courses listed here are included in Central Michigan University's International Health Certificate program. This graduate certificate includes 5 courses, 2-3 of which are travel courses. The remaining classes are offered online. Undergraduate students are welcome to participate in some courses listed below. Contact the course instructor with any questions.

  • Site visits to Xunantunich Mayan Ruins tour, Rio on Pools excursion (swimming and natural landscape), San Ignacio town tour with local guides, Botanical Gardens exploration
  • Rural health clinics in local villages, Guest lecture by Belizean physician, Faculty & NGO-led discussions, Hospital visit on healthcare delivery
  • Engage in meaningful service that promotes community health while gaining professional, cultural, and personal insights. Deliver diabetes education and child health assessments directly to Belizean communities
