For this project I got to make postcards for somewhere I wanted to visit. I lived in Japan and know that Nara is a great place to visit. When I made this it was my first project. In all reality I just wanted to learn some new things and get an A. I think it came out really good and I enjoyed doing it. I just hope it is fun to look at, beyond that I don’t really care what you feel when you see it.
For this project I created an art piece from a bunch of other photos by cutting them up, masking them, and doing transformations on them. We had to choose a topic for our piece. I wanted something not too hard that would look good, so I chose “video game addiction is damaging the youth.” I think it is great but I didn’t get an A+ so it's clearly not that good. I hope people feel a profound sense that they should go to bed instead of playing games.
This project we only had a few colors we were allowed to use. At the start I wasn’t sure what I should do for the project and ended up doing something I wasn’t really committed to. That's why it doesn't look the best in my opinion. The Title comes from a book my dad is working-which I haven’t read-so when people look at it I hope they will get the title stuck in their head and look up my dads book so he can become rich and I get a really big inheritance when he kicks the bucket.
I made a book cover out of one kind of medium. While looking for a good medium I saw a pack of gold textures and thought of the story of king Midas. I think it turned out pretty good, at the time of writing I don’t yet know the grade so we’ll see if I continue to feel this way later on. I never had an intended purpose for what I hoped the audience would feel. I just hope that it is enjoyable to look at.
