Mr. West and Mrs. Gordon met with grade levels this week to kick off Quarter 3. During these meetings, they shared reminders about hallway procedures, cell phones, tardy policy, and coats for colder weather.

  • Phones, watches, and earbuds need to be unseen/heard during instructional time. Students were reminded to focus on their learning during class.
  • Students will go outside for recess if the temperature is above 15 degrees. We reminded them of the importance of being prepared with coats and cold weather gear for this breath of fresh air.
  • In addition, we revisited our statement of practice ‘Everyone Belongs Here’ and highlighted the area about how hate has no place in ZCS. We specifically addressed the need to ensure we are not making negative comments or jokes regarding identity. We want to ensure we are living our statement of Everyone Belongs Here.
