Arrive Sunday, June 2nd, 2024. Monday, June 3rd white water pelicans. Tuesday, June 4th Landscape and Waterfalls. Tuesday evening MANDATORY bear safety class at 5:00pm CST. Everyone is required to attend the bear safety class. If you do not attend, you will NOT be allowed on the ground the morning of Wednesday, June 5th, full day with the bears. You will have to attend the bear safety class later that day. Thursday, June 6th full day with the bears. Friday, June 7th post workshop review.

The workshop will conclude on June 7th 2024 at 12:00pm CST.

Workshop location and itinerary will be provided once your seat has been secured with your 1st payment.

Workshop limited to a maximum of 6 participants, includes 2 1/2 days exploring black bears, with one day with American white pelicans, and one exploring Vermillion Falls and the surrounding landscapes.

Bears, bears, and more bears... they come together in The Magic Circle. There will be bears in different color phases, black, brown, cinnamon, blonde, blue-gray and if we are lucky white. We will see plenty of interaction, mother bears with spring cubs and yearlings of all sizes. Knowing their behavior translates into better imagery.

Get ready for an extraordinary adventure! This workshop offers an incredible opportunity for a thrilling in-field photographic experience that you won't want to miss. In June, we'll be focusing on capturing the antics of some of the most adorable creatures on the planet... the bear cubs. These little fur balls are brimming with energy, curiosity, and playfulness, making them a delight to photograph for amateur photographers as well as the most accomplished wildlife photographers. With so many bears present, this is the perfect time to capture all kinds of captivating interactions and portraits, including cubs of all sizes. It's an experience that's sure to fill you with wonder and excitement!

The sanctuary we will be photographing at is a diverse habitat for a range of flora and fauna, with black bears being the primary focus. Other animals, such as pine martins, woodchucks, chipmunks, and red squirrels, also call the sanctuary home. In June, the area is particularly abundant with songbirds. Visitors can now exclusively experience and photograph the behavior and secretive life of the normally reclusive black bear through our photographic workshop. Gain valuable insight about bear biology, ecology, and habitat firsthand at this unique sanctuary.

ABOUT: This immersive workshop provides you with an exceptional photographic experience to be among the bears in their natural habitat. We will be watching for spring cubs born in January or February. These real-life teddy bears are curious about everything, have an abundance of energy, they are playful and a joy to watch even for the most experienced wildlife photographer. With many bears present, this is a great time to capture behavioral interaction and portraits, along with cubs of all sizes.

FEE: $2,395.00 which includes sanctuary fees, photographic instruction, 2 1/2 - days exploring black bears, 1 - day of American White Pelicans, AND 1 - day at the white water of the Vermillion River dumping into the gorge, and the various landscapes of the Orr, Minnesota area. If the conditions are right we'll have a night session to photograph the Milky Way if we are blessed with clear skies.

TERMS: $1,197.50 per attendee. A 50% non-refundable retainer is required to secure your spot at the workshop. The remaining balance of $1,197.50 is due 30 days before the date of the workshop and is non-refundable. If we do not receive your payment for the balance on or before the due date, your seat will become available to someone else, and you will lose your 50% retainer.

LOGISTICS: We want to let you know that some of our workshops might involve hiking, boat landings, and other similar activities. We always do our best to make sure everyone is comfortable and to minimize any physical strain, but we understand that it may still be a bit challenging for some. You're not obligated to participate in all of the activities, and we'll do everything we can to make sure your needs are taken care of. So, let us know what you need and we'll work with you to make it happen.

PAYMENT: To secure your spot for our workshop, we require an initial non-refundable and non-transferrable fee. The remaining balance is due in full 30 days prior to the workshop date, unless otherwise stated. If we don't receive the balance on or before the due date, we'll attempt to fill your spot from our waiting list, and unfortunately, your initial retainer (which is non-refundable) will be forfeited.

PAYMENT OPTIONS: You can pay for our workshop via Zelle, we are registered with email dawn@bobanddawndavis.com. You can also pay via personal check, cashier's check, or money order, made payable in U.S. funds to Davis Designs Ent. Inc. TRIP INSURANCE: Bob & Dawn Davis of Davis Designs Ent. Inc. will not be responsible for any loss, damage or injury suffered aboard an airplane, boat, a charter plane, or any part during our workshops. This is why we highly recommend trip insurance. Before you’re even able to finish packing, an unforeseen circumstance could force a cancellation of your trip. For instance, you become ill or have a death in the family, which delays or prevents you from reaching your destination. Furthermore, if you, a family member or a travel companion becomes sick or is injured while traveling, the policy’s trip cancellation feature typically would reimburse you for the unused part of the trip. Travel insurance that includes trip cancellation coverage will reimburse the pre-paid, non-refundable costs of your trip in these kinds of situations. Note: You can make a claim using trip cancellation coverage only if your reason for canceling is listed in the policy you purchase as an acceptable reason. Multiple insurance quotes will be provided for your trip value and you will be able to view them side by side so that you may compare the features of each. The contract or ticket issued by them will constitute the sole contract between the airline or charter company with the passenger.

CANCELLATIONS, DELAYS & REFUNDS: We highly recommend that you get Trip or Travel Insurance to protect yourself in case of any travel difficulties or losses that may arise beyond our control as listed above in the Trip Insurance paragraph. Please note that Bob & Dawn Davis of Davis Designs Ent. Inc. cannot be held responsible for such situations. We want to emphasize the importance of having insurance and strongly encourage all our participants to obtain Trip or Travel Insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances that may occur before or during the trip.

CANCELLATION: Please keep in mind that we do NOT offer refunds for cancellations made within 120 days of a workshop, even if the cancellation is due to unforeseen circumstances. To ensure you're covered in case anything unexpected comes up, we highly recommend obtaining Trip/Travel Insurance. This will provide you with protection for things like physical events such as weather disruptions, acts of God, others like government actions or terror threats, epidemics or pandemics, and/or any other cause that's out of our control. We want you to feel confident and secure during your travels, so please don't hesitate to reach out to us with any questions or concerns.

CHANGES IN ITINERARY: We want you to know that we're committed to providing you with the best possible experience on our trips. However, we do reserve the right to make changes to the itinerary if circumstances beyond our control, or natural forces require it. Unfortunately, in these cases, we won't be able to offer refunds. We understand that this may be disappointing, but we're always willing to work with you to find a solution that works for everyone. Depending on the situation, we'll do our best to apply 100% of your deposit toward a future trip. Our goal is to make sure you have a wonderful time, so please don't hesitate to reach out to us with any questions or concerns!

ADMIN FEE: We're always happy to work with you to make sure you get the most out of your experience at one of our workshops. If you need to switch to a different workshop, let us know in writing and within the specified time period in the payment terms, and we'll do our best to accommodate you. Please note that a $250 fee will apply for any workshop date changes. We want to make sure we have everything in order and that we're able to provide you with the best possible experience. WEATHER DELAYS: We want to make sure you're aware that we can't offer refunds for any weather-related delays or cancellations before or during the workshop. We understand that this can be frustrating, but unfortunately, it's beyond our control. Please note that Bob & Dawn Davis of Davis Designs Ent. Inc. can't be held responsible for any extra costs you may incur due to weather delays, flight delays, or any other unexpected circumstances. That's why we can't stress enough how important it is to have trip insurance in place. With trip insurance, you'll have peace of mind knowing that you're covered in case anything goes wrong. CONFIRMATION: We will confirm receipt of your payment by email and/or telephone, so you can be sure everything is in order. If we don't receive payment within 10 days of the booking date, we'll give you a courtesy call (provided you've given us your correct phone number) to make sure everything is okay. If we determine that payment was lost or delayed in the mail, we will work with you to find a solution that works, such as paying via or Zelle, Overnight Express Mail, or wire transfer. We want to make sure you're able to maintain your reservations and have a fantastic time. However, if we're unable to reach you by the phone number provided, we'll have to release your spot in the workshop. So please make sure to provide us with the best way to reach you. SIMPLE TERMS: We want to make sure our payment and booking policy is clear and easy to understand. If there's anything you're not sure about, please don't hesitate to ask us for more information. INDEMNIFICATION: Bob & Dawn Davis of Davis Designs Ent. Inc and all associated agents, representatives, employees, guides, joint ventures, partners, service providers, or providers of accommodations (hereafter referred to as the "Provider Group") maintain the right to decline the acceptance or retention of any participant, attendee, or other individual in a workshop. This applies regardless of whether a retainer has been accepted or if the workshop has already commenced and full payment has been made. The sole and absolute discretion of any member of the Provider Group determines whether such participant, attendee, or other individual has impeded the operation of the trip or has caused a disruption to the rights, safety, welfare, or enjoyment of other members of the trip. Refunds for any amounts paid to the Provider Group are subject to the following conditions: (i) refunds prior to departure for the workshop shall be made in accordance with the published policies of the Provider Group and (ii) refunds after the departure for the workshop, IF ANY, shall be at the sole and absolute discretion of the Provider Group. Please note that removal from a workshop in progress may result in the complete forfeiture of any amounts previously paid. Agreement to these terms and conditions is a condition precedent to enrollment in any workshop.
