“Be a curator of your life. Slowly cut things out until you’re left only with what you love, with what’s necessary, with what makes you happy.” ~ Leo Babauta
Who am I?
I am a curator. A cultivator of deep healing that stems from my own extensive inner work, married with some unique personal aptitudes and an eclectic blend of skills and trainings. This blend of experience and innate vision, is utilized to help clients lean into, and touch, the truth of who they are.
Soul Worker. Curator. Spiritual Midwife I am a Soul Worker. I curate, plant, and find that which has been sought. Discovering the wisdom within is fundamental to my practice and the work of healing and restoring the wounded soul. It is central to the work of MY soul. It defines my approach to life.
My background
My work is grounded in psychospiritual and transpersonal realms of thought, practice, and worldviews. Formal training includes Transformational Coaching (Certified 2010) and Transpersonal Psychology (MA, 2009) with Jungian psychology being central to this work. Concepts such as shadow, archetypes and the collective unconscious all stem from this field of study and contribute to my worldview and practice. Symbolic vision, dreamwork and the recognition of universal patterns, inform what I do at a very deep level. I’m simply wired to see connections. Valuable trainings that add to this work include: Somatic therapies - Hakomi, Integrative Somatic Trauma education - as well as compassion cultivation, goddess & divine feminine education, Wisdom School training with Cynthia Bourgeault (Centre for Action and Contemplation, 2021), nursing and various consciousness studies. Mindfulness Meditation Teacher training with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach (class of 2023) contributes significantly to my capacity for holding space for others, to do their work.
The WORK
What is Transformational Coaching?
Transformational Coaching is grounded in Transpersonal Psychology – a sub-field of psychology that integrates the ideas of western thought with the insights and understandings of eastern spiritual traditions. Holistic in nature, it works with the mind, body, emotions, and spirit as innate and often untapped sources of wisdom.
As a method of inner exploration, Transformational Coaching brings greater degrees of awareness to unconscious beliefs and attitudes that influence behaviour and act as obstacles to achieving what we say we want. As awareness develops, our internal world shifts and we begin to understand that we have the power and the capacity to choose differently for ourselves.
Deep listening and gentle and compassionate inquiry are foundational to this process. Sessions are client-driven and present moment focused.
What it is NOT
Transformational Coaching is NOT psychotherapy and does not focus on illness or a psychological diagnosis. Instead, it aims to discover and work with one’s unique capacity for change. Coaching is not a replacement for traditional therapy but is a complementary tool for those who are seeking clarity, change, greater self-understanding, and/or an enhanced sense of fulfillment in their lives.
What is the Community Breathwork Circle?
Circular breathing practice done with awareness and intent, creates a state of charged equilibrium in the nervous system. Awareness becomes altered, and we gain access to a more expanded state of consciousness where insights and new perspectives become available. Details regarding this style of practice are addressed in pre-ceremony. This is a guided event set to music.
This year’s circles are scheduled with the moon cycle in mind. New Moon’s are a time for setting intentions. Full Moons are a time for reflecting on what our intentions have manifested. Perhaps this year’s moon cycle can serve as a symbol of intentional living.
