SONYC Afterschool Registration
SONYC will be opening their registration for the 2026-27 School Year on AUGUST 14th at NOON (Eastern Standard Time).
We will send an email the end of July with additional information and next steps.

Summer Rising Information
MS74's Summer Rising program is operating out of MS172 this summer.
The day begins at 8AM. Students will enter the main doors and go to the Cafeteria, where they will meet their homeroom teacher, have breakfast, and take attendance.
The academic programming will conclude at 12PM, at which point, the CBO - Beacon - will take over for the remainder of the day.
Rising 8th Grade Families

Virtual Admissions Information Sessions for Families:
- We are excited to announce that we will have five virtual information sessions in July for students entering the 8th grade this fall. These events will provide families with an overview of high school admissions and offer helpful tips on what they can do to prepare this summer to apply in the fall. Here is the schedule of our events:
- Thursday, July 9 | 5pm to 6pm. This event is intended for Students with Disabilities (SWD). Event held in English. Interpretation provided in Arabic, Bangla, Chinese (Cantonese), Spanish and ASL.
- Tuesday, July 14 | 5pm to 6pm. Event in Spanish
- Wednesday, July 15 | 5pm to 6pm. Event in Chinese (Mandarin)
- Wednesday, July 22 | 5pm to 6pm. Event in English and interpretation provided in Albanian, Bangla, Korean, Uzbek and ASL.

988 is the new Mental Health Hotline
If you or a loved one is in crisis, the city has created a new 3-digit hotline, 988. This is the 911 number for Mental Health.
