Annual Enrollment requirements
If you do not enroll online by November 3rd, your current coverage will continue, including your Healthcare elections, effective January 1, 2026.
Aetna Select Open Access or Aetna Choice Plan: If you are currently enrolled in the Aetna Select Open Access or Aetna Choice Plan, it is strongly recommended that you review the upcoming changes. These plans will end on December 31, 2025, and will be consolidated into a new offering: the Aetna Select Choice Plan, effective January 1, 2026.

What you need to know
For 2026, the district will continue to provide you with quality, affordable benefit plans that meet your needs and those of your family.
Retirees will be pleased to see decreases in their monthly premiums.
- Important Updates:
- Significant changes and new rates for the Medical Plans. To learn more about these changes, click the "Rate Chart" button below.
- All 3 Medical Plans will continue to offer In-Network only coverage. Members may visit any provider within the Aetna Select Open Access National Network.
- The exclusion of coverage for weight loss medication and surgeries.
- All Health Plans have different deductible amounts. Please review the Retiree Benefits and Wellness Annual Enrollment Guide and Comparison Chart for plan specific details.
- CVS Primary Care Virtual Services for adults will be discontinued as of December 31, 2025, due to low participation.
Important: The Medical Benefit Plan changes listed below, only pertains to those who are covered under the Aetna Medical Insurance Programs.
NEW - "Select Choice Plan": The Select Open Access and Choice Share plans are merging to create a unified option—the "Select Choice Plan." Effective December 31, 2025, the Select Open Access Plan and Choice Share Plan will be retired. If you are currently enrolled in either of these plans, you will be automatically moved to the new plan unless you make a different selection during Annual Enrollment.
- New Select Choice plan copayments
- Under the Select Choice plan, outpatient services subject to a $500 per-person deductible, followed by 20% coinsurance once the deductible is met.
- Network will be the national Select Open Access Network, same as our other plans.
- There will be no out-of-network benefits. You must stay in-network.
- Family deductible increasing from $1,000 to $1,500. Each Individual on the plan will only need to meet $500, or the family can collectively reach the $1,500 deductible.

IMPORTANT: This is your only opportunity to make changes to your benefits coverage during the year unless you have a qualified family status change. If you don't actively elect your benefits, your current coverage will continue.
