The division 1 soccer team plays in the Horizon League where they have won 8 Conference Championships and have made 3 NCAA Tournaments appearances. They have had 25 former players go on to play professionally, with 5 of these being MLS Draft Picks. RMU recently hired Jonathan Potter as their new head coach. Potter has spent the last seven seasons as the head coach at Presbyterian. Taking the reins of a program that finished last in RPI in NCAA Division I the season prior to being named head coach of the Blue Hose, in just his second season Potter guided Presbyterian to the 2017 Big South Conference Tournament title and a bid to the NCAA Tournament.
