Last night was the Artists Reception at the Brisbane Library for the Senior Art Show. In addition to complimentary refreshments, there was an art trivia game and information about events and artist opportunities provided by District 5 San Mateo County Arts Commissioner, Victoria Magbilang. We thank everyone who came to celebrate the hard work of current and past students of Teacher Shirley's! The exhibit will be up through August 19 so be sure to check it out by then if you haven't already!

70 Old County Visioning Survey Closing Soon...Get Your Responses In!
As part of the planning process, the City is gathering community input to help shape the future of this important site...and we hope yours is a part of it! The 70 Old County Visioning Survey closes on Monday, June 30, 2025.
Wondering what the next steps are? Staff will have survey results in mid-July to share, and will be popping up at the 7/25 Concert in the Park. Staff is also discussing an open house at the site in early September...we'll share more information on that in the weeks to come! Once the public engagement process has concluded, staff will work with our consultants to present the public's feedback to the City Council. That meeting is slated to take place in the Fall and will be announced using the usual methods, along with our signboards and social media channels.
To learn more about the project, please visit brisbaneca.org/70OldCounty.

Last Monday's Water Line Repair on Alvarado
Last Monday at approximately 9 PM, Public Works responded to a report of a water leak. One of our main water lines on the unit block of Alvarado was damaged and leaking through the street and gutter. Crews responded quickly and immediately got to work. The service area was isolated, and the water main was excavated to reveal the damage. Repairs were made between midnight and 2 AM, with water fully restored around 3 AM. Due to the quick response and efforts of our utility crew, the service interruption was wrapped up with everything back in action by breakfast time.
Just another instance of DPW working through the night to ensure you have water in the morning!

Windstorm Damage Leads to Tree Removal at Community Center
Last Thursday's wind storm resulted in the Chinese Elm outside the Community Center experiencing a significant break in one of its limbs. On Friday morning, arborists determined that the entire tree, unfortunately, needed to be removed due to extensive internal decay. While it is always unfortunate to lose a tree, we appreciate the swift response by the Public Works Department in prioritizing public safety and taking appropriate preventive action.
