On Tuesday, the City of Laguna Beach held the Wildland Fire and Emergency Preparedness Town Hall meeting and discussed mitigation efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of the community with topics including community preparedness, public infrastructure improvements, fuel mitigation, and response.

Learn About the Recent Historic Register Placement Promotions
The City’s Community Development Department is excited to share a Historic Preservation publication highlighting properties within the City that have been recently placed on the City’s Historical Register.
One of the goals of the City’s Historic Preservation program is to achieve historic preservation by encouraging and promoting voluntary additions to the City’s Historic Register. This publication will be used to promote and support the City’s program, therefore contributing to the program’s goals.
Woods Cove Underground Utility Assessment District Project Update
On Thursday, September 14, City staff hosted a project workshop at the Community and Susi Q Center for the Woods Cove Underground Utility Assessment District project. Staff presented information to approximately 60 property owners about assessment methodology, project financing, private utility connections, and future project milestones.
At the September 26 City Council meeting, staff will recommend the adoption of the Assessment Engineer’s Report to begin the district balloting and formation phase of the project.
