Algebra I: This week in Algebra One, we will wrap up the different forms of linear equations (slope-intercept, point-slope, and standard form). We will transition into arithmetic sequences towards the end of the week. Students will have homework this week that is due on Friday!

Science: It's time to find out the difference between physical and chemical changes as we begin Unit 2. We will immerse ourselves with new vocabulary through doodle notes and reading, explore density, activate our vocabulary words with practice and solve a mystery about bubbles. Unit 1 Test and Test Corrections were completed last week.

ELA: This week in ELA, students will begin writing their narrative essay, which will be due Friday, September 29. Students will write an original narrative that utilizes similar conflict types that we saw in The Outsiders.

Read180: Students will take their Workshop #7 Interim Assessment at the beginning of the week. They will end their week completing their paragraph on how space archaeologist use satellite imagery to locate ancient relics hidden underground.

9th Grade Lit: This week, students will continue their analysis of The Odyssey. We will take a quiz over Part 2 of The Odyssey on Tuesday, September 26.

Social Studies:

This week in Georgia Studies, students will begin Unit 3: The American Revolution. We will look at the long and short-term causes of the American Revolution, Georgia's involvement in the American Revolution, and the early years of the United States of America.
