Principally Speaking
Today we are celebrating many students who have achieved excellence in behavior and attendance during the 1st 6 Weeks—thank you for supporting their success! 🎉 We also have so many fun events coming up, including Mom Prom and World Cup Soccer Field Day. Approved volunteers are needed to help make these events run smoothly, and don’t forget to pre-purchase your child’s snack wristband for Field Day. Details are below!

Bullying Prevention
October is National Bullying Prevention Month, a time to focus and raise awareness on bullying. In Arlington ISD, Bullying is when a student engages in written or verbal expression, expression through electronic means, or physical conduct that occurs on school property, at a school-sponsored or school-related activity, or in a vehicle operated by the district. Cyberbullying is the use of any electronic or digital device to engage in bullying and/or intimidation.
When adults respond quickly and consistently to bullying behavior they send the message that it is not acceptable. Research shows this can stop bullying behavior over time.
Parents, school staff, and other adults in the community can help kids prevent bullying by talking about it, building a safe school environment, and creating a community-wide bullying prevention strategy.

World Cup Field Day
Our All-Star Champs will need plenty of fuel—snacks and drinks—to stay hydrated and energized for all the World Cup challenges. Don’t get caught offside—be sure to purchase your wristbands in advance. 👟🏃🏽♀️Make sure your students come prepared! They should wear tennis shoes and comfortable shorts to move and play safely during all activities. Nuestros Campeones Estrella necesitarán mucho combustible (refrigerios y bebidas) para mantenerse hidratados y con energía para todos los desafíos de la Copa Mundial. ¡Que no los pillen fuera de juego! Educational Student Travel
I am excited to share that one of AISD's dedicated teachers, Ms. Jessica Ortiz, will be leading two amazing student travel opportunities in 2027 through EF Educational Tours. These experiences are open to students in our district, and I encourage you to learn more about them. Ms. Ortiz has led incredible trips before, giving students life-changing experiences—and she can’t wait to continue this tradition with your family. Please note: This is a non-school or district sponsored trip. Me complace anunciar que una de las dedicadas maestras de AISD, la Sra. Volunteer Sign Up
Many hands make light work and we love our volunteers. We depend on our parents and volunteers to help make the best learning environment that we can for our kids. We encourage you to be an approved volunteer to help make a difference at school, sponsor fine arts events, chaperone field trips and work with students. All volunteers must submit an online application (every year) and upload a copy of your unexpired government-issued photo ID to the volunteer application.
Muchas manos facilitan el trabajo y amamos a nuestros voluntarios. Dependemos de nuestros padres y voluntarios para ayudar a crear el mejor ambiente de aprendizaje posible para nuestros hijos. Lo alentamos a ser un voluntario aprobado para ayudar a hacer la diferencia en la escuela, patrocinar eventos de bellas artes, ser acompañante en excursiones y trabajar con los estudiantes.
