Why Does This Exist?

The RRFM is a place where we celebrate our abundance and generosity by allowing people to give and take freely, without any exchange of money or other intermediaries. We are striving to create the city we want to live in by building a community that supports each other's needs through deeds and sharing.

How Does it Work?

  • Show up anytime from 10am to 1pm, but feel free to come early to set up. You don't need to sign up in advance.
  • If you bring items, bring a blanket or tarp so you can lay items on the grass.
  • Walk around to meet new people, hang out, and get free stuff.
  • Keep an eye on your personal belongings or cover them with something if you don't want them to be taken.
  • Clean up and take home any leftovers when you go.

What Can I Bring?

Is This a Charity?

No.

We are not incorporated or affiliated with any governing bodies, and operate through the collective work of individuals. This puts power in the hands of each person that attends, rather than an institution!

Do You Take Donations?

No.

If you have things to share we ask that each person be responsible for what they bring, and must take home their own leftovers. We are happy to point you to places that accept donations if you can't attend or have leftovers!

What is Not Allowed?

  • Dirty or broken items
  • Hazardous chemicals
  • Alcohol/Drugs
  • Trade or Barter
  • Advertising Non-Free things (ex. giving out flyers for paid goods or events)
  • Soliciting for any business
  • Asking for unpaid labor outside the market
  • Hate speech, rude behavior, theft

What is the Rain Plan?

Currently if there is a chance of rain, we will have to cancel the event. We may be able to reschedule to the following week or postpone until the following month depending on the situation. If you have suggestions for alternative locations, please reach out!

Parking?

There is a parking lot by the basketball court as well as free street parking in the surrounding area.
