The Week Ahead

Around East This Week

Students in Mrs. Meyer's 7th Grade Social Studies classes traveled back to the Paleolithic Era this week to work on cave paintings! Much like those before them, student cave paintings represented things that were important to them in their life.
Students in Spanish race to see which group can be the fastest to match the Spanish speaking countries to their capitals
Students in Mrs. Browning's Tech Class work on Straw Rockets

Count Day: Wednesday October 4

The State of Michigan requires public schools to take an official tally of student attendance two times a year -- once in October and once in February. On these "count days" each student translates into per pupil funding districts receive. Let's make it count!

Eagle of the Week!

The Eagle of the Week is one student selected every week and nominated by a teacher for acts that go above and beyond for the MSE Community. This week's "Eagle of the Week" is Ari C! He has demonstrated great work effort and he is always smiling. Ari is respectful towards staff and students. He is always willing to help others out and he is a great mentor in the peer 2 peer program. Ari has come along way since sixth grade, he is involved school sports and he is always socializing with many students. Great work!
